Non-Slip Stiff Mat

I wouldn't call this a "throw rug" at all - "mat" is far more accurate. Overall the mat is stiff; its edges do not sit flush with the floor, meaning it's easy to catch with a foot and trip on. I got it for the purpose of using it as a mat to sit beneath a litterbox.For that purpose, it does work. The non-slip bottom is effective and keeps the mat in place.The image print colors are not quite as vibrant as shown; it's also resized/stretched to fit the size. The warping means it does not look that great. The edges have a thick stitched hem that stands out a lot - moreso than is shown in the description. The creases have stayed stubbornly in place.Size (2' x 3') is correct. It is pretty thick at about 1/4" - no pile like carpeting; it's a smooth surface. The material feels like it is on the cheaper side.I'd recommend this for an area with generally low foot traffic where it can sit for a purpose - such as what I have done (mat for litterbox), or a large one in the middle of a play room to catch kid spills. Being washable helps with both of those uses.At $23, I don't think the quality matches the price. The value just isn't there for me.To improve the value, I'd make the following changes:- Switch to a surface material with a bit more pile or softness;- Remove the interior batting and make it less thick;- Stitch the edges flatter;- Resize the image to meet the dimensions without looking warped.That is a lot. The one thing I would not change is the bottom - the non-slip is very effective. The inability for this mat to sit flush makes the non-slip less effective.
