As my wife and I live in the area where Mark Twain wrote “The Celebrated Jumping Frog of Calaveras County,” frog/toad things like this are popular around here and make great little gifts for friends. The sentiment is generic enough for anyone, and the included mesh gift bag is a nice addition. The little frog is soft and squishy and seems well made. Size and color are accurate when compared to the product description photos. It doesn’t stand on its own, and could use a little base like what I’ve seen on similar products. For about $13, perhaps a little overpriced?

I just can’t resist anything frog themed. I volunteer at a school with a frog mascot. This little frog is so adorable. It would appeal to anyone young or old. It is meticulously crafted and I was surprised at how soft the yarn is. It has a chenille feel. The colors are vibrant, and I love the little bead eyes that are attached very well. It comes packaged in a little gift pouch. Really great item. Crafted with care. Crochet is having a real moment, so this might even appeal to picky teenagers. The one thing I would encourage the makers to change is that the little card the frog is holding is made out of card stock, and it will probably soften or possibly tear over time. It arrived in a small organza fabric bag with drawstring-a nice touch for gift giving. It is larger than I expected, without paying attention to measurements, very soft (chenille type yarn), well colored and made. He is soft and squishy. The heart “I Froggin’ love you!..” is clearly printed. There’s really nothing negative about him, he is so darling!
