I ordered the LazBlinds Top-Down Bottom Up for my front doors. I did not want to put holes in the doors, so I ordered Velcro to hold them in place. I placed the Velcro on the window after washing it with alcohol and on the back of the blinds and let them be for 48 hours. I put them together yesterday and they are up there like a champ and blocking out all the afternoon sun. I have toddlers who cannot keep their hands off anything, I let them push the blinds up and pull them down and it operated smoothly, now they are not interested in them. They look great, block out the sun, very affordable and the quality is fantastic. I will be ordering more for my bathroom window and will be using the included brackets.

Okay but could be better.

I have a little experience with this brand, though this is my first top down bottom up shade. It works. The motion is smooth. It definitely blocks the light well. Installation was very simple. I do wish the bottom had a handle on it, like their shades normally do. Also, when you pull the top down and try to reseat it at the top, it's pretty finicky. It takes me several tries to get it seated right.As far as the brand goes, I definitely prefer the cellular shades I got from a local big name home store with a signature blue color scheme. I find this brand a little harder to push back up efficiently after they are pulled down. Also, I've had some big issues with the sizing in this brand. I'll get one that's not even close to the width it's supposed to be and another that's right on. I've had to return some because of that.

The LazBlinds Top Down shade is a nicely designed blind the mechanism that controls the up and down is smooth as butter and functions exceptionally well.The clip for mounting installed easily after holding the bracket up and finding where the screw needed to go i dimpled the spot then put the bracket down to pre-mount the screw , then installed the bracket. This might seem over involved but is easier than holding a screw gun bracket and an unmounted screw spinning on the top of whatever surface you are mounting to.The shade is in a bathroom and for privacy and it does this well and blocks light.The material is good looking and should hold up.Just decide how you are mounting them and get accurate measurements...the rest it is an easy DIY.
