I didn't know what to expect ordering these online, but we love them. I had 19 windows all the same size and I really wasn't looking forward to installing all of them, so these were perfect for us. First, they're gorgeous, block light really well and look much more expensive than they are. They look like linen and custom made to size. Secondly, they install in about 1 minute. You simply tighten them in the window frame and you're done. I've gotten a lot of compliments on them. I don't know how well they'll cut the electric bill in the summer here on the Gulf Coast, but they've definitely helped to insulate our windows this fall.
These blinds are exactly what I was looking for. They are so easy to install, they are a very nice quality and I was able to get the size I needed. I live in town with a lot of street lights. The blinds are installed inside the window frame, they completely block the light so my bedroom is pitch black at night for sleeping. I raise the blinds halfway during the day and have floor length decorative curtains that drape on the outside of the window frame. I am very pleased with the look, the quality, and the fact that they filter the light.
I grabbed these for our bathroom window after removing the standard blinds that were there when we bought our house. We have been slowly upgrading our window treatments throughout the house, but knowing the bathroom will eventually be overhauled, I didn't want to spend the money on custom shades or deal with the headache of installing them (my husband appreciated that second part most). These are SO easy to put up, love that they don't require any drilling whatsoever, and have a higher quality look overall. The blackout lining definitely works too, almost too well - it gets very dark in there! I had ordered two sizes to try because our window measured between the standard/available widths, and the smaller one was perfect after adjusting the rod slightly. Definitely recommend for an easy and quick solution!
Overall I am happy with this window shade. The “fabric” looks/feels good and not thin or cheap but it’s not a natural fabric. The color is acceptable but I wish a little warmer and slightly darker. They seem pretty well made but 4 stars because you can see light through the sew seams (imagine a horizontal side to side, dotted line every 4 inches top to bottom.) I do not think these will provide much thermal protection-they are not that thick and are in between black out and light blocking- which I assumed before purchasing and fine with. Very easy to hang just measure twice in advance! They are nothing special when seen from the outside and wish they had a shear backer panel to improve that part. Lastly mine did not hang exactly level but apparently adjustments can be made with the two cord mechanisms to fix. If I can’t resolve that I will update this review. I would buy again and will be for a few other windows - but for side and back of house windows.
We needed a quick and easy solution for our windows that were letting in too much light. Since we are in a rental unit, we also needed something that was cost-effective and did not require us to puncture the walls. These blinds provided a full proof solution that were also incredibly easy to install. I literally opened the box and put them up without even needing the provided tool. I can’t believe how easy it was and how beautiful they look! I hardly ever leave a review, but felt compelled because I was thoroughly impressed by these blinds and would purchase them again and again!
