We are renting, so it was nice to find blackout blinds that can be installed without drilling. Installation was fairly easy. The plastic cap that closes the edge of the bottom of the blinds had fallen off for both blinds I ordered, and the rods that add weight had fallen out. But all the pieces were there, just had to reassemble. It is very easy to pull the blinds up and down by the clear plastic handle provided (no cord, which is great). The tension mechanism must initially be a little tight, so I noticed it creeping up after being pulled down. If you pull the blinds all the way out (at an angle), it will start to relax. Blocks light very well, which allows me to sleep much better. I left my lightweight curtains in front of the blinds because a little bit of light comes in the sides. However that may be because the blinds cannot lay completely flush against the top half of my window, as it is offset from the bottom half. I just picked the cheapest color during Black Friday sales. The seller must have had it in stock because it shipped within a week. I am still waiting on my other non-blackout blinds from the same seller, which will take a couple weeks longer to ship.

Blinds = great, items to install it = not included

While the blinds works exactly as described, they arrived disassembled (which wasn’t a big deal to put together) and without the tightening wrench, leaving me to manually do it as much as possible given I didn’t want to use a metal wrench for fear of damaging the plastic pieces.

Fits well, even with stone wall window inset

These have worked out wonderfully in our windows. I was hesitant to try them only because the inset of our windows are large stones and some protude more than others. But I loved the idea of no tools and gave them a shot and I'm very happy I did. The color is great and they slide up and down with ease. I just have to go slowly so as not to catch some of the stones that stick out a little more than others.
