Great looking blind. Almost perfect.

I just finished putting up these blinds in the kitchen window and they look terrific! Our Household Domestic Engineer really likes them and the fact they will cut down on the afternoon sunshine that comes blazing in that window.A couple things to know:• Installation within the window frame took longer than I thought it would. I had to remove the screws in the side mounts because the screw heads made the width too narrow to install the blind. I ended up with 2 nails in the top, and four flat head nails in the sides which gave me enough clearance.• The blind looks great when fully deployed in the down position. When it's up, the slats hang slightly askew. Not a deal breaker, but the mechanism is not perfectly balanced.Before starting...• Get yourself a set of good steel screws. The included screws are very soft and I had 3 twist off and the heads stripped on some others.• Install the wand before the valance. Once the valance is on, you cannot fit the wand to the blind.• The valance is tough to install and remove, especially if you're installing the blinds to fit within a window frame. It's a struggle to squeeze the tangs on the mounts together enough to slip the valance over themSummary:Overall, we're pretty pleased with the blind. The slats are sturdy and room darkening. For our window of 34.5" x 35" this was a very close fit without any trimming or shortening, so that saved a lot of work, and saved a lot of money, compared to a custom fit There was a bit more effort than usual putting up this blind, but worth it. It looks nice installed and would recommend this product.

Great blinds!

Love these, the size was spot on and love that you don't have the string to pull them up or down so easy to open and close (after time those types seem to always malfunction). Great price, and easy to put up. Keeps the light out so it works great. The color was as stated and they seem to be very durable. I would highly recommend them (It's been about 2 months that we've had them up).
