No Ticking. None, Zero!
I didn't think that this clock was going to have no tickking. I was shocked when it didn't. Perfect clock for a TV room, gaming room, bedroom, or office. It is beautiful and sturdy. No moving parts on the decorative area outside of the clock. You do have to connect one piece, but the directions were well written. The only odd thing is you do need a special battery. It's AA, but you can't use the standard alkaline ones. Aside from that, impressed by the quality. And did I say it doesn't tick, at all?

Loved the clock, but very disappointed in one important feature
I purchased this clock to replace my previous antique wall clock in my living room. I love how it looks, but I am returning it because the hands cannot be seen at night from 10ft away. The hands are gold, so at night when the room is darker than daylight, you can’t see them! I even turned on a lamp that was only 6 feet away from it, and still couldn’t see the hands from across the room! I had friends over 2 different evenings and they couldn’t see the hands, as well! I would also like to add that while the hands are beautiful, the shorter side of the minute hand is quite long with a large teardrop shape on the end of it! At times when it is early evening not dark yet, or when the hands are close together, it is hard to see the time! I am truly disappointed, because I really liked this clock itself and its design!

Gorgeous Clock
I love using oversized clocks as décor in my house, and one of my primary themes is "tree of life", so I just had to have this one!It came well-packed and is a nice heavy piece with great detail and craftsmanship....except one part. The hands themselves are extremely flimsy thin metal. I managed to bend up the minute hand quite a bit just pulling it out of the box. Thankfully, because they are so pliable, it was easy to get it shaped back up again. And even if I couldn't, they helpfully provided a spare set! It takes one AA battery (not included), so make sure you have one on hand. It's a nice medium size and I'd say worth the current cost ($55.99)...I've seen plainer clocks made from thin metal going for more. Other than the flimsiness of the hands themselves, I'd call this one a winner!
