A few things surprised me about this. First of all, the flowers are in fact real and soft, not like dried flowers that crumble easily. Secondly, the six layers of paper and fabric tied with ribbons and twine made it a bit much to get to the bouquet. It’s fine if you’re going to display it exactly as it comes, but if you want to put them in a pretty vase, have some scissors handy! Thirdly, when I opened the box I was hit with a strong smell. It smells a bit like roses, but I found a scent square (I’m adding a photo of it) stuck to the inside of the display window. It’s called “ocean” which really does mean roses, but that’s what it is I guess. It’s pretty strong smelling and if you’re sensitive to heavy scents, you should open it in a well-ventilated area. The flowers themselves do have the same smell but it’s not too bad. I went back and opened the gift box a few days later and it still smells pretty strong. I frequently get migraines from smells, but the flowers alone being in the room didn’t bother me.I got the purple and the colors are very pretty. There are pinks and mauves mixed in, and it’s a beautiful combination. They’re the average height of a flower arrangement.I did a bit of DIY for displaying it, and used the satin ribbon and pleated fabric to cover the stand they’re in. The stand is definitely not for display. (You can see it through the fabric in one of the photos I took.) My plan is to get a pretty, decorative vase, take the bouquet apart and rearrange them in that. For now, the fabric kind of hides the stand.I’d recommend using some kind of air to dust them with, I don’t think they’d survive being rinsed off and a duster might damage some of the leaves and petals.I do believe these will last a long time as long as you’re careful with them, and they come in a beautiful gift box with an included blank card, as well as a clear plastic bag with handles for gift giving or carrying. But they’re a beautiful alternative to fresh flowers, and can be a really pretty home decor piece.

This is one of the largest flower arrangements I’ve seen. It is well arranged and absolutely GORGEOUS. None of the petals are torn and everything seems to be in place.
