A Nice-looking Scalloped Bowl

This 24cm (9 1/2") scalloped bowl is quite attractive. Not too heavy and well finished on the inside, the outside is left with a natural finish - I chose golden. The other choices of beige and light grey appear to be a natural finish inside and out. The bowl is a nice size for a key bowl as they suggest or for pot-pourri, pebbles, shells etc. as a display item. I am actually using this one at a church for mints at the entrance. The feet have pads to help stop scratching and the item looks nice on the welcome table. A reasonable price for what it is and a nice display item if your taste runs that way.

Beautiful Interior! Lovely Scalloped Edging!

I found the design on this bowl highly interesting with the scalloped edging and the creative 'sunburst' radiating interior. I was a bit disappointed to see that the entire bowl has the gold-leafed appearance as the pictures for the ‘golden’ could be interpreted to have a contrasting ivory resin exterior which I think would have been so chic. Instead, its all the gold lame' look and in my perspective, fails to most optimally set off the interior with the rich gold glimmer highlights – now, it competes. However, it IS still a lovely bowl, just would have been even more artfully lovely otherwise (in my estimation). Although that does somewhat change my intended use, I certainly can find many alternate ways to feature this so it's given beauty still literally 'shines'. I also actually love the roughed edged feel of the resin which looks and feels like real stone, but without the telling weight. So it does have a nice visual, textured aesthetic as well as tactile touch and the scalloped edges are really nice for a quick, firm & secure grasp when lifting, say a bowl full with fruit. It just has a really nice hand grasp so you have a secure grip which is really a practical feature. So overall, this will be definitely enjoyed, but I might just add my own crafted touch to personalize to taste for a softer, more matte exterior leaving footers as is for the accent. The design is lovely and the gold tone ‘leafing’ in itself is tasteful. Ultimately, happy with this piece. It will still be that elevated touch to the space and enhancement to the décor.
