Cheerful and Bright, but a Major Lint Magnet. Be Ready To Vacuum Often!

We originally ordered this rug for our utility room, which currently doubles as recovery space for one of our chickens. The listing says it’s designed for a classroom, so we figured if it can survive a room full of kids, it should handle one small hen just fine. And… it kinda does.First, the positives. This rug is adorable. It instantly brightens the room and makes the space feel cheerful. It’s thinner than expected, but still feels sturdy and well made. The texture is nice underfoot, it flattened out almost immediately after unrolling, and it stays put without sliding around. From a construction and appearance standpoint, we really like it.Now the issue. This rug is an absolute magnet for lint, fuzz, and dust. Within ten minutes of putting it down, it looked dirty. It’s not easy to sweep with a broom because debris clings to the fibers, and since it’s mostly black, every single speck shows! Vacuuming removes everything easily, but I found myself vacuuming it almost immediately after installation. The pics were taken about an hour after a fresh vacuuming. As you can see, it doesn’t stay looking clean for long.Yes, there’s a chicken in the room, but one hen is nothing compared to a full classroom. If this is meant for kids, be prepared for very frequent vacuuming.We genuinely like the rug itself. It just demands more maintenance than we expected for something marketed toward high-traffic classroom use. Hopefully it just had an excessive static charge from shipping and installation. We’ll give it a week and see how it holds up long term, but buyers should factor cleaning effort into their decision.

Perfect for classrooms

This rug is such a fun addition to my space! The rainbow smiley faces are bright and colorful without being overwhelming, and they really pop against the black background.It’s soft to walk and sit on, which I love for a classroom setting. So cute! I will be using this rug in my small classroom, it's the perfect size at 4x6 feet. It's durable, low pile carpet easy to vacuum and keep clean. Happy pop of color in a room.

This is a fun rug to have in a schoolroom or in our case a child's room. The colors are fun, bright, happy and the rug is decently durable. It isn't super plush, think more along the lines of those inexpensive entryway rugs. Easy to vacuum and as it is an accent over an already existing carpet it doesn't slip around. I'm not 100% sold on value for money but it is a nice accent. It is a happy pop of color to a room which makes it worth it in our book.
