Cheerful gift

I’ve purchased other versions of this gift, and I really like several things about this one. The scriptures themselves are on thick paper that almost feels laminated. This means you can put them back into the jar and use them over and over again, unlike the other varieties I’ve seen with rolled up pieces of paper. The writing is clear and concise, and the colors are bright and cheerful. The size of the scripture cards are just right without being too small to handle or hard to read. I think this would make a nice gift or any friend or loved one who is looking for some scriptural encouragement. I plan to keep mine on my desk at work as a reminder to stop and consider what God’s word has to say. Priced at around $10, this is a good value. My only criticism is that the label on the front was slightly lifted and peeling, but could be fixed with a dab of glue or tape.

The multiple colors make a big impact as do the bible verses.

These make an attractive gift item, especially for someone of the Christian faith. It comes in a nice little gift box along with a little gift card, gold ribbon and a small wooden "For You" tag. The jar feels like glass and has a silver steel lid, so it has a pleasant weight to it.On the jar it says "READ THIS WHEN..." and then color coded LOVE, HOPE, HAPPY, SAD, ANGRY, LONELYInside the jar are about 20 bible verses on laminated color paper that matches the keyword. Each of the slips are 5" long by 3/4" tall. In one of the pictures you can see one of each of these different categories.The phrase "READ THIS WHEN..." is a little ambiguous. For example it seems like I might pick SAD, ANGRY or LONELY when I have those feelings and want a message to help deal with those feelings. But when it comes to LOVE, HOPE or HAPPY it seems like those are feelings that I'm trying to obtain, not ones that I have and need help with.The verses themselves are nice selections albeit they could sometimes fall into multiple categories.For $7.99 this is a nicely presented gift for any person of faith. Although I find the categories described above a little mixed I think that is just the engineer in me wanting precision. If I just think of it as a random bible verse that we can read and apply to present situation then it sits O.K. with me.I'm giving this product 5 stars because it looks nice and might make an impact well beyond it's cost.
