They aren’t very light‑blocking due to the lighter color, which I expected, but the real issue is that there’s no insulated or thermal backing at all. Even though they’re velvet, they don’t provide the warmth or thickness I needed. For that reason, I’ll be returning.

Gets the job done

Here’s the only proof you need that these work.I was supposed to hang these up last night but didn’t feel like it (hellooo ADHD) and with my luck, I was woken up at 4am today by fire truck lights flashing right outside my window. My entire room was lit up and with my sensory issues, it didn’t make for a great combo. Plus I had about 4 hours before I had to get up. That was 4 hours I wasn’t willing to give up. So I opened the package of curtains, flung them over the existing curtain rod so the window was at least covered, and the entire room went dark. NO LIGHTS. And they weren’t even properly hung. Once the fire truck drove away without anything traumatic happening (thankfully) I fell back asleep soundly.Now that they are properly hung, they look beautiful, super soft, and after putting them in the dryer for about 10 minutes, they are wrinkle free.Just buy them and thank me later.
