Gorgeous and Luxurious, but doesn't work over existing carpet.

This rug is absolutely beautiful. I love the rich colors, and the print is so lovely. It's perfect for a moody-maximalist or dark academia vibe. It has a silky feel to it, which feels lovely on bare feet. It CAN be slippery though if you're walking on it in socks, so be careful.It is relatively thick for a washable rug, and while it says it's washable, you would need to bring it to a laundromat to use one of the over-sized washers and dryers to do so. It's very large and very heavy.While I recognize that it's not the use case for most people, we placed this over carpet in our living room. We have really cheap renter-special carpet that never looks nice, no matter what we do. This rug really made the room look expensive and luxurious. That being said, it did NOT stay in place. The grip on the bottom likely works well on hardwood floor, but it does not work on carpet at all. That was really disappointing to say the least. It made it really hard to vacuum and we were constantly straightening it. Because of this issue we currently have rolled it up and put it in storage. I plan to get some carpet tacks and try tacking it down to hopefully alleviate the struggle.

Very big, beautiful rug!

I got this to upgrade my current rug and went with the 8x10 for more floor coverage. This rug is big, but the size supports the pattern beautifully. I feel like a smaller size might feel a little busy, but with the big size, it feels nicely spaced, and the fact that the design is moths is very subtle. The top of the rug is a very short but soft piling, so it's great if you don't want to add too much height to the floor, and it's easy to vacuum. The bottom has a little bit of a nonslip texture to it. Overall, I think this looks great, and is a nice lightweight rug option.
