What a fabulous find. Have always liked burning incense but holders have never worked well. This one holds the incense sticks great and ashes are all caught in the bowl. I also love the marble look of the bowl as it matches many of our existing marble.
After decades of burning incense at home and in studios, I finally got tired of cleaning up the ash left over from using traditional stick incense holders. Found this one with the large bowl, and it's absolutely perfect! No stray ash to clean up after, just what's in the bowl, and the incense seems to burn longer being upright. The multiple hole sizes for sticks is such an upgrade from what Ive always used.It's really attractive as well. Great for you or a gift for another incense fan!
I don’t write a lot of Amazon reviews, but for the price this manufacturer deserves applause. This is a very substantial incense burner and the materials are extremely pretty. Excellent weight to all three pieces (the stone and metal pieces which are actually separate for cleaning). I have some serious incense sticks that burn for three hours and are quite thick and heavy with a strong ember that would definitely be a fire hazard if it were to fall over. I have zero concern with this burner. I can keep my incense in the little holes without concern it will topple. I don’t even place sand in the bottom. I purchased the larger size and I couldn’t be happier. Also, the holes at the base are fantastic given the different sizes. I just got back from a trip to Egypt and stocked up on incense. The sticks are all sorts of sizes and fit snugly in at least one of the base holes. I strongly recommend. Pictured with a standard incense stick.Note: it doesn’t catch all the incense ash if the ash topples on its own (if you gently tap your ash before it naturally falls it’s not a problem) but I still love this regardless. I recommend the large size for standard length incense sticks. If the manufacturer still makes the smaller size, it won’t be close to adequate for standard length incense and you’ll have to tap the ash often or it will be all over.
I worried about reviews that said this was not travertine. Very slow shipping. When it arrived, it was worth the wait. It is real travertine. The brass incense holder does it show very well. I would definitely buy this again.
The marble is a good solid heavy marble and looked beautiful. Held the ash just fine, and was easy to wash. The part that holds the incense has all different hole sizes depending on the size of the incense stick, which is nice. What I didn't like, is that there is no way to secure the incense stick holder to the marble bowl. The holder is heavy, but doesn't stick. It came with pads to stick to the bottom of the bowl to keep from scratching your furniture, but nothing to secure the holder. It can tip over just from the weight of the incense stick or a light breeze. I couldn't pick it up and carry it to a different spot while lit. If they had just drilled a hole down into the bowl for the holder to sit, that would have solved the problem. It is beautiful and I kept it for about a year before I gave it away.
This is a beautiful incense holder. The stoneware is solid. I like that the holder is removable, makes it easier to clean. I am very happy with this product and think it is well worth the value.
Works as advertised. I think it’s a great value for the money. It holds all of the ashes. I have not had any issues with ash containment.. and it dumps clean I’ve been using mine for about two or three weeks now and I haven’t had to wipe it out because the ashes dumped out very clean but I do use nontoxic charcoal free incense.
