‎This is a 4' x 6' well-made, rectangular-shaped area rug that features paw prints and hearts, as well as multi-patterned squares.‎‎The rug is a much thicker weave than I was expecting. and is much heavier as well. It is made of a polyester fiber material that looks and feels like it's of good quality. The sewing is incredibly well done, with heavy thread and straight stitching, and the outside edge all the way around it has been sewn to prevent fibers from pulling apart, to be more durable and last longer through many years of use. They are sewn with a different color thread than is used in the rest of the rug, which looks nice as well.‎‎The colors are what I would consider to be very natural, neutral tones which will literally go well with most home or classroom decor. There are blues and purples as well, but they are in darker shades, and with the dusty green and tans, they all fit together perfectly with the off-white squares.‎‎Cleaning this rug is pretty easy. First, it's stain-resistant, so spills won't soak in before there is a chance to get them wiped up, and less damage to the inner fibers that would normally require deep cleaning to remove. It's got a short carpet nap, so it can be vacuumed without fear of pulling or tangling, and loose debris is no problem. because I can just pick it up and give it a good shake or use the broom.The rug is anti-slip and has thermoplastic rubber on the bottom of it, which keeps it in place on surfaces. I have hardwood floors in part of my house, and I wanted to see how well the rug stayed in place, so I tried it out. It didn't budge! It never slid or felt the slightest bit unsteady under my feet.‎One of the reasons I chose this particular rug, was the sustainable way in which the materials for this rug were manufactured. This has an OEKO-TEX ‎STANDARD 100 CERTIFICATION, which is the most trusted certification for product safety across Europe and around the world. To get that certification, every thread, button, color of dye, etc., that is used to make a product, has had to undergo rigorous testing for the presence of over 1,000 toxic and harmful chemicals commonly used in the textile and leather industries, and has been proven to be 100% free from them. Nothing in this rug is harmful to humans, our pets, or our environment. That, for me, is worth its weight in gold.‎‎This rug is the best choice for safety, looks, craftsmanship, and price. This is really a win-win on every level, and an excellent value. I am recommending this for classrooms, bedrooms, playrooms, or anywhere else you need a safe. soft, durable floor covering.

Soft, educational, and skid proof.

I was looking for a rug for our toy room. This theme is perfect. The colors are bright and this rug has a whimsical design. It serves as both a comfortable, soft rug for playing and also a learning tool. My grandchildren like to drive there cars around the boxes of the alphabet. I also like to play an educational game with my 2 yr. old grandson. I hand him a rubber letter and he has to match it to the correct letter on the rug. My older 5 year old grandson could not be outdone so he ran and grabbed our plastic animal tote and matched what he could to the alphabet animals depicted. In his eyes every box had a match. He smartly told me the plastic animal we owned was actually an eagle, but looked closed enough to the vulture! We don’t own an iguana, and he also explained that our buffalo was sort of like a Yak. He knew the N was for Nest, but put a toy bird in the nest box and proceeded to tell his younger brother that bird started with a B, but this was an N for nest! My 5 year old grandson thought that it was very important for you to know that the wolf looked more like a fox, and that the wolf pictured did not look as dangerous as a real wolf. Lol. So we all got an extra educational purpose from the beautiful rug! I got the 3x5 size, which works great in our toy room alcove. In addition the size covers a seam edge, making it a great protection over that rough laminate piece. This rug can be vacuumed, and spot clean and the smaller size I own can be tossed into the washer if it gets real dirty. The skid proof backing is a great addition. This keeps me from having to constantly straighten it out from rowdy boys playing. It is soft, comfortable to sit or lay and play on. The price made this rug a great value. If I had a very large space I would choose the much larger rug available for my floor covering, which is cheaper than installing traditional flooring. I will say, I did think the Christmas tree above the snake was an odd placement and not necessary. (pictured) Just a thought.

Kids love it and it's helping trap heat

I meant to use this in my kids playroom but I ended up getting the most use out of it in my living room. We're in the middle of an ice storm, it's freezing, and this rug took up so much space on my living room floor that we were able to keep it warmer than the rest of the house. It unfolded beautifully, it's really thick and heavy duty, totally worth the price that it's sitting at right now at $46. The colors are muted and natural and beautiful, and despite the bit of snacks that got smashed into it, it's going to be pretty easy to spot clean. I have not had to fold it up yet, it's going to stay where it is for now, but it was easy to unfold when I first opened the package. It will go back in the kids room eventually.
