Excellent light blocking (depending on color. Navy-excellent. Light blue-ok.) Easy to move on rod.

So pleased with these navy drapes I purchased as a gift for my son's apartment! Despite the good reviews, I was leery of them being able to block light without being lined. (Everything I saw in retail stores were heavy fabrics with an added liner.) But these do a terrific job! See my photos with one set opened and the other closed. And yet these panels are lightweight enough to make moving them along the rod easy to do. These are the floor to ceiling 108" panels and I am only 5'2" and I had no problem pulling them open and closed. There is some wrinkling out of the box. It is not noticeable when panels are opened. I had to walk right up and look closely to see the wrinkles when the panels are closed. I added a photo. (The navy fabric looks gray in my up close photo, but it is not.) I think a steamer would easily do the job if you wanted perfection, or perhaps laundering might do the trick. (How great that these are machine washable!) But the wrinkles really aren't noticeable unless up close on the navy panels. He also has the matching valance which is the perfect size (length and width) for his transom window over the fire escape door. (The door has blinds, but window had nothing for privacy.) Light blocking is evident in this photo, too. UPDATE: I was so pleased with these that I purchased light blue ones in a shorter length (72") for my daughter's college apartment bedroom. She will be there less than a year so I was happy to invest only about $65 for two sets (4 panels). The light blue are NOT as room darkening as the navy. However, she wanted them to block the street light that shines at night, as well as privacy and just decorative purposes. The light blue is so pretty! It did show the packaging wrinkles but I did not stay behind to put them in the washer or steam them. I assume they will come out then. Again, delighted with how well they move on a the rod. Since this is a college apartment, she could not install rods and needed to use tension rods. The panels move so easily that there is no need to tug on them and risk the rods falling off. Super delighted with these light blue ones as well as the navy, just know they are not as light blocking as navy.

Beautiful, thick fabric curtains!

Beautiful curtains!! The fabric is thick, smooth and so expensive looking! I bought these for our guest bedroom in pink (pretty soft pink) because we have 4 young granddaughters and I did the bedroom up Princess style.The curtains are so nice, I plan to put them up in different colors around our home.I'm not sure why Amazon says they are returned frequently because I'm picky but I sure like these.I'm not sure how they are as thermal curtains because the room I presently have them in, has a covered porch.For our master bedroom that faces southwest (in Florida) I'll buy these curtains and possibly add thermal curtains behind them but I won't mind because the I like the fabric of these curtains that much.

Warming up Dining Room

Just moved into a new house and needed some curtains in the dining room. But, because of new house, don’t have much money right now! So these curtains are great. They are a forest green and a light material that does a good job of darkening the room and making it feel warmer. The pictures were taken at noon. One curtain had a snag all the way across it.
