Pottery Barn style for less money
I bought the version with a black finish. They are still relatively new at my house, but so far, they are holding up well. The finials are simply but nicely detailed, and they are appropriately sized above my 34x72(h) windows -- about the diameter of a tennis ball -- but would probably be slightly large for a very small window. Note that these are not high end rods, and both the rod and finials are hollow rather than solid. Matching brackets, screws and plastic wall anchors are included. They were easy to assemble and install. I am using them with curtains with back tabs, and I have no problem sliding the curtains open and closed over the rod. I'd describe these as Pottery Barn-esque, with a neutral style that could work with a variety of decors.

Great rod , very simple to install
I had bought another double hung rod 1st . I am 82 . Not handy at all . My husband did all these kind of jobs for me . He’s gone , I wasn’t going to get a handyman just to hang one curtain . I was ok with just the one job , the handyman wasn’t , went on u-tube and after seeing a bunch of videos I tackled the job . I am very proud to say I got the measurements perfect . I selected instructions from a young muscular man , that will be important later . His instructions , and only his instructions didn’t use a drill gun , that’s why I chose him , I don’t know how to use a drill . The double hung rod had two screws on each bracket . Using a screwdriver I got the 1st bracket up , both screws . Then I went to the other side of the window . I got the first screw in ok , but I was completely exhausted so on my last screw I was just to tired so I found the drill . Whoever used the drill last left it set up perfect for me , Phillips head , good to go . My 4th. And last screw with the help of the powerful and fast drill I completely I wrecked . At that point I was so feed up with my 1st choice , the double hung rod , I packed it up and sent it back . Oh yeah , the young guy I watched just use a screwdriver Yes the job was easy for him . What was I thinking , I’m 82 ,female , out of shape , and I didn’t have a clue what I was doing . Anyway after I calmed down I found this wonderful rod . I was able to use the screw holes , one each bracket that I already had in the wall . This rod is so much better than my previous choice . I was very long winded because this just happened . I am extremely happy with this rod and it’s holding heavy blackout curtains .

It works well
The product was a bit confusing to get together for the size I wanted. Im not sure I actually did it correctly, but it works. It doesn’t actually twist into place, but once you put it on the wall it stays still. It’s very sturdy and holds up nice. The curtain rings scratch the rod a bit, but I don’t mind. It’s not noticeable.
