if you are not a blackboard 'aficionado' like I was not. It might be good to add a note in their to pretreat the blackboard for best results. I could not get the chalk to adhere well. But upon reading that I should not use dustless chalk and to pretreat the blackboard thankfully it all worked out.
Mounted this on a door to help my elderly mother her appointments. She loved the look of it. Has two key hole style screw mounting brackets that are made of steel. I added 2 more screws at an angle under shelf since it as on a door to the pantry. Very happy with it.
This looks nice, a little cheaper looking in person but it keeps a ghost of the chalk, chalk markers do not come off even with a wet cloth, and the wet cloth wiped off the black chalkboard surface! very cheap chalkboard surface itself which is the most important part! I returned after one use
Its nice and a good measurements, cute design with the faux barn pulley. Honestly for the money its pretty cheap in feeling. Wood doesnt feel like, more like press board. Feels like the value isnt there as well as lack of quality.
It’s not a very good chalkboard. I’m thinking of painting over it. It’s very difficult to write on and I even seasoned the board before I wrote on it. I’m really disappointed in the quality

Regular chalk didn't work on this, we got several kinds and all pretty good quality... just didn't show up or erase all that well. If you plan on using chalk marker pens don't buy this one... after the chalk didnt work we used the chalk markers and they wouldn't come off the board. Poorly constructed as well.
