We installed these shades last night, and we are very pleased with both the ease of installation and ease of use.The two shades we ordered each came with two brackets, which are extremely heavy weight and sturdy. The brackets allow for surface frame mounting and installing inside the window frame.Once the brackets are installed, the shades simply snap onto the bracks. The way the brackets snap into place on the shade housing allows for easy lateral, side-to-side, adjustment for fine tuning the shade alignment.The mechanism for lifting and lowering the shades is extremely quiet, smooth, and exact. There is no sudden suprise rolling or unrolling with these shades. The shades can be opened to any position with gentle lifting or pulling action, and matching the exact positions of two or more shades is fast and easy.The shades are toped with an elegant matching cloth covered header that covers the shade and roller mechanism. Each shade come with a clear snap-on handle for manually controlling the shade height without soiling the cloth of the shade over time.These are a very attractive and worthwhile replacement for the irritating spring driven window shades that do weird things in the middle of the night.So now, I need to get busy re-shading the rest of the windows in this old house!

They're perfectly fine one-touch shades. These are putting minimal stress on the drywall, and they block out all of the light I need them to. Installation was a bit of a pain, won't lie, please measure everything twice because there isn't much tolerance for error in the fit.The look is... look, man, they're like something you'd find in a decent motel. The valance is trying it's best with the texture, but it still looks like a textured vinyl sheet. It'll look fine in a clean room but it's not classing up the space on it's own like natural wood blinds or something, get what I mean?The function of them sells more elegance than the cheap looks ever will. They really do glide up and down nicely, one finger (if nothing's in the way). Huge bonus for drywall mounting since you're not tugging on some string at sharp angles or really putting any weight onto the fixture.Overall going from ripping my old blinds out of the wall by accident, to measuring the window, to clicking a bunch of options here while barely knowing what I'm doing, then to carrying the thing up flights of stairs and installing it on my own? The new blinds can't fix my awful drywall patch job, so I can't really ask for much better. At least now get sunlight in more often since it's so easy.

Not what i hoped for

I ordered a pair of the roller shades, same color. They are the same color but a different lot number, so they hang side by side a slightly different shade of the same color.Looks mis matched. Also the edges of the shades are already a tiny bit fraying, after two days being up on the windows. So probably not going to look good.!
