Exceeds expectations

These linen blackout curtains work as advertised. So many blackout curtains don't block out light but these actually do! I'm very satisfied with the performance of these. The quality also feels great. I have another pair I got from JCPenny that claim to be 100% light blocking and cost nearly $60. As you can imagine the JCPenny one's didn't do that.These linen ones are working as advertised! In my experience white curtains don't block out as much light but these are exceeding my expectations and blocking out nearly everything except the edges that the curtain doesn't reach. The length fits well but the width doesn't quite cover my window 100%.I think these blackout curtains are a bargain considering I paid more for less on a competing item. I also really love the color of these. The curtains really brighten a room up and makes it feel cozy.

Arrived with Dark Stains but I Got Most of The Stains Out & Hung Them

These arrived with what appears to be dark stains. I'm not sure how to remove them or if they will come out at all so I hung a different set of blackout curtains due to time constraints. If I'm able to get the stains out so I can hang these I will post an update to this review. Especially curious how well the blackout effect works because they look very different from my other blackout curtains.UPDATE: got most of the stains out with baking soda and paper towels so I added back one star to the rating. hung them in the guestroom and I think they look great and the blackout effect is very good.

Beautiful blackout curtains with linen texture

I still need to steam the wrinkles out of these Joydeco Linen Blackout Drapes, but they’re perfect for blocking out light at night from a nearby streetlight. The Venetian blinds we had in our living room helped but blackout curtains were needed to effectively darken the room.I like that the back of these drapes are white rather than a darker color so they look better from the street if our blinds are not fully closed. The grommets are a classic sliver color and go well with our existing silvery curtain rod. The linen texture looks great and the length of the curtains was just as described so hanging them up was easy. They’re also fairly lightweight and less likely to bend any curtain rod (a concern we had with our extendible rod). Despite being lightweight they are effective and when closed I could feel the temperature in the room decrease almost instantly.

Heavy Weight vs. Light Weight. Room darkening

Got these curtains for my granddaughter's bedroom because even though she has Thermopane windows the room still gets warm. These curtains are heavyweight and also very room darkening. Also, with the prior curtains she had were too thin and the streetlight as well as cars driving up and down the street at night would keep her awake. I still must get a curtain rod to hang them and right now we're just tacking them up. So far, they seem to be doing their job and keeping the light out and helping a bit with keeping the room cooler. The curtains are longer than we needed, and we’ll need to shorten them once we get a curtain rod.

Does black out 95% of the sun if you don't have blinds behind them, and 99.9% black out if you have blinds closed behind them.They look very expensive and love the quality.Made very well. Typically I would go longer for the window height. These are 84" tall x 52 " wide per panel. I would usually choose at least a 96" high for my ceiling height.I will absolutely be purchasing more of these. The color is a natural modern color.
