These curtains are very lovely. The blue is a nice, rich color with a sateen feel. When I first opened them, I was a bit skeptical about the "blackout" ability because they are so lightweight. No worries! Before installing all four pairs, I tested one. During day, the room(one window) was 98% blacked out. At night, leaving light on in room and going outside to observe, absolutely no ability to see through the curtains! There was no chemical smell upon opening package. The only creases/wrinkles are where natural fold is due to nature of grommet curtains. The price was fantastic!

I bought the burgundy curtains size 52 x 36. They arrived on time and in good condition. Because they were a little wrinkled, I threw them in the dryer for a few minutes. They came out perfectly, all wrinkles gone. I cut the ties off because I didn't need them nor want them. The curtains hang in a south facing window in our tv room; they block the light completely, just as I had hoped. I'm very satisfied with this purchase, which was only $8 and much less than I would have had to pay even at a thrift store.
