I bought these JIUZHEN Blackout Curtains in the 45 inch size for the door in my family room. They're well made and look nice. They are NOT thermal insulated in the traditional sense with a vinyl backing. But they are a heavier material. They work for blacking out light. They have straps on the backsides that are meant for tying the curtains but I do not use those and will probably cut them off. I'm happy with this purchase and bought the longer size for the windows in that room.

I bought these curtains for my mother's room, which has a lot of windows, which makes it chilly in the winter and warm in the summer. We put these up and there has been a marked difference in the temperature in her room. Great at keeping the heat in, and the light out! Should do the same in the summer for keeping it cool. The material is very nice. They ironed out beautifully. She loves that each panel has a built-in tie back. All in all, she loves this purchase.

Nice heavy and thick curtains, but are NOT “BLACKOUT” curtains!

Ok, I kept one set and returned the other. The curtains function nicely for privacy and are heavy to help keep the Florida heat out.They also look nice as well. However, they are NOT true BLACKOUT CURTAINS. The picture I have attached has thick white curtains against the windows, then these “so called blackout curtains in front of them covering the entire length and width of the windows. Then in front of these curtains I added very thick curtains that have a damask design on them.As you can see from the picture, you still can see sunlight coming through the curtains!Most importantly, the same material that is on the front part of the curtain is the same that’s on the back. True “blackout curtains” have thick black material on the back facing the window.I also didn’t notice any particular “smell” to them like some others have mentioned.If you are looking for extremely thick, and heavy curtains then these would be perfect.

Very pleased with these attractive curtains. They are heavy yet have a nice smooth feel. Stitching appears to be high quality and the size is described. Great value for the price. Because I'm using these over a doorway, I did not test them over a sunny window, but based on how thick they are, I think even the beige ones I ordered would do a good job of blocking light.
