Be aware that it is very thin

This item won’t be to everyone’s expectation, but it is exactly what I was looking for. I bought it hoping that it would cover an area on my carpet that my cat keeps using as a scratching post. It stays on the carpet just fine - thin, flexible, rough enough backing to stay in place, unobtrusive design that blends well with the plain carpet - just as desired. Except. The cat won’t scratch it. Scratches around it on the carpet. So, switched it to the entry where there’s a hard floor. For this location it needs carpet tape to keep the edges flat. Looks fine, improves sound quality (less echo), easy to pull up and wash. Win-win. Except the cat still scratches the carpet. Back to square 1.

Poor quality for a washable rug

I was happy with this product until I washed it according to the directions. It was washed in cold water and was line dried now it will not lie flat.I bought three and the wear and tear in just a few months is horrible in high traffic areas. Especially with pets. I have one dog that is regularly groomed but the flat material weave snags. Better products on the market
