    This statue is even nicer than I expected it to be, just beautiful. I'm extremely picky about renderings of people in figurines and statues - can't stand if proportions are off, face doesn't look right, expression is off, etc - and this statue met and even exceeded my criteria. Jesus looks calm and meditative, yet strong and resolute as well. The realism is pretty stunning for this price point too. Wow. I've been looking for a statue of Christ meditating to put on my altar for many years, and am beyond happy to have found this fantastic item. Highly recommend!

    Lovely details on small 5 inch hand painted resin figureine of Jesus meditating

    I like this figurine especially because it reminds me of the human aspect of Jesus' life experience, and of His practice of meditation and our own need to meditate to achieve best conscious contact with Divine Consciousness. Face is pleasant, peaceful but not idealized. I enjoy religious figurines not as idols, but as visual reminders of a higher and truer reality than ordinary human consciousness.The price at $36 is more than I am used to paying for figurines of this size, but no buyers regret.Like most figurines that I purchase, I spray painted it with clear triple glaze. I like the shiny effect, majes it look more like ceramic, and helps to protect. Resin is very resiliant and usually siurvives dropping. However the outstretched delicate fibgertips in pams up meditative pose would likely break, so I am cautious.
