These are my favorite curtain rods, I have used them in my last 4 homes. Very sturdy and are able to hold up heavy or longer curtains without a problem. I have used white, matte black and bronze finishes. Very high quality, easy to install, come in a wide range of lengths. Great value for the money! I would highly recommend this item!

This is the 6th rod set we've gotten. This will hold heavy duty curtains such as mine are since they are blackout. This is a beautiful rod. Great price for a sturdy rod.
Great product and very sturdy.
Our main family room front window is nine feet wide and seven feet high. When we bought the house seven years ago, a foreclosure, there were no window treatments at all. For this window, needing something fast, we put up two sets of Home Depot miniblinds, nominally four and a half feet wide. The other day, a string on one set broke, and its left side came crashing down, a total, unrepairable loss. With our triple digit summer temperatures, we decided to go for blackout thermal insulating curtains. This curtain rod set looked good and could ship immediately. It arrived promptly, about an hour before the drapes. With very clear instructions, it was very easy to install the mounting brackets, slide the drapes onto the rod, screw in the end cap finials, and hoist it into place. It took me just over an hour altogether, as my approach was slow, methodical, and careful, measuring three or four times before drilling. The only thing I don't like with this system, putting the rod through curtain sleeves: There is very little room to open the curtains because the mounting brackets, evenly spaced bout 22" apart for structural strength, stop the curtains from sliding open more than a few inches. I don't give five stars for anything short of absolute perfection, but this product comes close, a solid grade of B+. One thing I try to remember to write in every review, if I had it to do over again knowing what I know now, would I still buy it? Absolutely.
I ordered the 120 to 240 inch rod to span a 13 foot space. The rod consists of 3 tubes, 1 1/8 inches in diameter by 48 inches long; and 2 smaller tubes, each one 54 inches long. In addition, the kit included 2 stainless steel tubes, each 12 inches long to splice the larger tubes together, the decorative square finals, and all hardware necessary to hang the rod. The color white was a cottage white and not a stark white. To span the 13 feet (154 inches) without having to telescope the rod as illustrated in the instructions, I spliced the three 48 inch tubes together. I then used a hacksaw to shorten the smaller diameter tubes so that the telescoping portion of the rod extends only 5 inches on each side. The result works very well. Don't forget to install the plastic bushings. They keep the telescoping rod from slipping in and out when hanging the rod, but still allow you to adjust the length. The rod appears sturdy and easily supports the blackout drapes on the window.
I read the reviews on this curtain rod and some others and these rods are easy to install. First let me say that I am seventy years old and installed 6 of these with only a catch or two on the first install. When you start put the thumb screws in the bracket about half way and then back them out to flush with the bracket the paint needs to be removed or you will never move them by hand after they are installed. Next measure how far from the ceiling you want your curtain to be and figure out where the top of the rod will fall in the bracket, then mark the bracket on the wall. Drill holes and put the screws in allowing about 1/4" to slip bracket over screws and then tighten screws. I put my rods in the window frame because I didn't want the curtains hanging in front of wall space. Some companies tell you 5 " out, really! I would guess they want to sell more curtain panels ! Also I would put one grommet outside the bracket when hanging and put the knobs on after the rod is up. Tighten the thumb screws by hand. That way if you measurement is within 2" or 3" of the ceiling the rod will easily go past the bracket but not if the knobs are on. Also if the knobs are on it is hard to reach the thumb screws. These are a light cream color.
