Look rich on a budget

I bought these because they’re pretty and come in a wide variety of colors. I was surprised when I received them that the velvet feels quite rich. And they hang really well. They look more expensive than my budget. But still, I never planned to write a review.Then we were hit with a severe cold front bringing a week of wind, ice, sleet and snow. I’m glad I already had these curtains up because I realized the windows in my new home leak like a sieve. I think they must be original. The thick velvet really helps insulate and keep the cold from creeping to the rest of the room.I initially only put these in 2 rooms. Now I’m planning to get more for the rest of the house.Additionally, these make my bedroom VERY dark. So dark, that I have overslept on several occasions. Consider these if you’re on the graveyard shift and need to sleep during the day.

These are very nice, soft curtains, and I will be keeping them, however I wouldn’t call them completely ‘blackout’. You can see the light coming in through these and the time of day is more towards sunset with the sun not directly shining on them. If you are looking for total blackout I would consider possibly choosing a darker color or a different brand. But they are a nice quality curtain outside of that.

Lovely color that matches our Persimmon walls incredibly well. Thick velvet, and the lining is a heavy dark silver satin. Not 100% blackout when it's sunny, but perfect for napping babies. I washed and dried them on low to get the wrinkles out, and they held up beautifully.

Not white

I’m not exactly sure how to rate these curtains with regard to my issue. I first ordered a pair of these curtains in white. They are soft, very pretty, seem to have good blackout properties. The first pair was a bright white. I needed to order a second pair exactly the same. I again ordered white but when I opened the packet they were not the same bright white but a dingy looking white. I ordered a replacement pair, however these were also the same dingy white as the second pair I ordered. I really do like the curtains, but will be returning as I cannot seem to get a hold of the same bright white color of my first order.
