Lovely design and color, but for the smaller Japanese style incense

Quite a beautiful incense holder. It's aesthetically pleasing and graceful in shape and the graduated color (teal to black) is gorgeous.It is fairly small however, designed more for the Japanese style incense sticks, not the larger Indian temple incense I use most. I will still use this for my Japanese incense, just not as often. It does make an attractive decorative piece even when not in use.

Cute, but could use some design improvements and also causes a huge mess with packaging

I thought this incense burner was really cute when I ordered it. It has pretty colors, and I love the butterfly design. It is hollow, so be careful not to drop and break it, but I liked that it is medium weight so it's heavy enough to not easily be knocked over and yet still light enough to handle. One of the worst parts about this product is the packaging it comes in - it comes in Styrofoam, to protect it during shipping, but because of the bumpy design of the burner, the Styrofoam was broken and crumbled and when I took it out of the box, the little Styrofoam pieces got EVERYWHERE - and I have a cat, and was really worried that she would eat a little piece or two (they are tiny little balls, and stick to everything with static electricity, so REALLY hard to clean up effectively). Then the burner itself needs some design improvements. The worst part is that it's not nearly long enough for a standard size incense stick. I'm talking about the normal incense sticks you can order anywhere - you can see from the photos just how short the burner is compared to the incense sticks! in order to use it without having hot burning ash fall on my table, I had to break off the end of the incense that goes into the holder and make it super short - and even then, the incense still extends a bit past the end of the burner. And that's in either of the 2 position holes available - whether pointing upward or more horizontally! I don't understand why someone would make a burner that isn't long enough to catch all the messy, hot ash, isn't that the point of it? So while I think it's pretty, I cannot recommend this burner and would also say some better thought and planning needs to go into the packaging so it doesn't cause a health hazard to pets and babies and a headache for the person who is unpacking the product.
