Stylish, sturdy, well built. Just all around a great product. Very highly recommend.
I'm absolutely in love with this already, especially the magnetic lid, because you don't have a clunky hinge or two throwing off the design itself. It's very well made, highly detailed where it's carved, and quality-wise it seems to have been made very well.Honestly, it was made well enough that it took me a little bit to find the drawer to put the incense in, because when it's closed, it is absolutely invisible. I found that fantastic because that just makes it look better. Once you know how to open it, it's very easy. Just those first few minutes, that's a little confusing at first, but once you realize they just did a very good job at lining everything up, then it isn't difficult to sort at all.Looking at the price on it, I would absolutely say this is worth the money, considering what you get, and one of those bonus features it has is that little mesh, as well as the heat-resistant cloth that goes under it, which makes it easier to clean. As far as all those ashes go, that's always been the bane of my existence when it comes to incense burners, but this solved it.Size-wise, it's a little on the large side, but if you're looking for an incense burner that also holds incense, rather than just burning them, chances are that you were already ready for a slightly larger one. For myself, one of the concerns I had was the size of it, because I am working with limited desk space, as well as a few other factors. But in the long run, it fit just fine. Turns out I didn't really need to worry. - I didn't even have stick incense when I first received this. Just some leftover cone incense, but placing them on a quarter, which I then placed on the mesh, worked just fine.

Length is meant for core-less sticks (or those you cut the core to size)
I was expecting this to be a black metal box. We only see 1 photo in the Vine program and the one I saw led me to that view. I can see the full listing gives the correct impression. I will say the stained wood is more brown that black. Having done a lot with stain myself over the years, I know it's impossible to be consistent with how stains appear. Each piece of wood takes on stain differently. Since I've noticed that even the same incense takes on a different aroma profile depending on how you burn it, I had sought out this sort of horizontal wood box specifically because I enjoy the wood aromas and hoped the form would be beneficial. There is storage in the bottom for un-used incense. That might be ok, but keep in mind that most incense may lose some of it's aromatic aspect if it's kept in a non-sealed location such as that. The incense with bamboo cores really won't fit as they'd be too long. The core-less incense sticks I have lit and burned without any issue. There is a foil heat mat that sits inside the box beneath the incense so that it doesn't drop hot ash directly on the wood. The lid is held on with magnets which are actually strong enough to lift the whole box (when empty). That means you shouldn't need to worry about the top slipping off if it's randomly bumped. The holes are ample to give ample oxygen to the incense. I didn't have any issue with it going out as a result. This does cause an incense stick to burn faster than if you burn it vertically, but slower than inverted. That in-between heat does create a subtle difference, but you may need a higher quality stick to notice it. It's another reason I enjoy the natural wood scents this feels like it complements.

Calm and Practical
I wanted to try this incense burner box mainly for meditation and quiet evening rituals. Overall, it is a well designed and thoughtful set that feels both functional and aesthetically pleasing. It is not overly ornate, but it brings a calm presence to the space. What I LikeThe double layer design is genuinely practical. The lid helps contain ash, and the built in tray catches residue neatly. I no longer have stray ash falling onto surfaces, which was a constant issue with open holders. The bottom drawer for storing incense sticks is a nice touch. It keeps everything in one place and protected from dust or moisture. The natural wood construction feels sturdy and solid. It does not feel flimsy, and the stainless steel mesh combined with the heat resistant mat adds reassurance when burning incense for longer sessions. The hollow frame allows the incense to burn evenly while still maintaining airflow.Visually, it is simple and elegant. The carved detailing is subtle and works well with different decor styles. It fits naturally into a meditation corner, home office, or living space without looking out of place.ConcernsWhile the wood looks attractive, it is still wood, so careful handling is important over time. I would avoid placing it near direct drafts or high moisture areas. The interior space works well for standard incense sticks, but thicker specialty sticks may require a bit of adjustment.Overall, this is a solid, well made incense box that combines functionality with a clean design. It keeps ash contained, offers convenient storage, and enhances a meditation or relaxation setup without being overly decorative. For regular incense users, it is a worthwhile addition.
