Affordable and high quality

This is the third option I bought for the desired “mauve/dusty rose velvet” curtain I needed. Since things are never what they seem in stock photos or some person review photos I bought what seemed like the best three options based on reviews. The lesson we once again learn from this - cheap is cheap.COLOR: These Wild Rose color in the HPD Velvet blackout curtain panels are more of the color I wanted. The others were either too purple or too baby pink. This Wild Rose color is RICH and really does have a bronze undertone to is which makes the color itself look expensive.QUALITY: As for the fabric quality and construction of them these are by far the most well made. The fabric is thicker and lusher looking and feeling. It’s more velvet than the others which seem more like velour.LINING: The backing is the standard white blackout liner which is very well attached part of the curtain.HANGING: The hidden rod tabs on the back of the top were a pleasant surprise. After getting the other three budget velvet curtains of another brand whose tabs (made of many strings and not even spaced) were so horrible I felt like literally any other type of hidden tab would be better. When I opened these I may have possibly gasped. Not only were they totally even and properly places in each end - they were made of the same velvet fabric as the front of the curtain panel. Hallelujah.. this was real quality. I immediately packed up the previously tried ones and put these on my windows then stood back and admired how perfectly placed the tabbed pleating at the top looked.SUMMARY: If you are looking for velvet curtains I’m going to highly suggest you stop being super cheap (like I attempted) and spend a little more on these HPD. You will save your sanity for versions reasons. These are gorgeous and glamorous. Super stylish and high quality

These curtains are legit! The quality is remarkable for the price. All the seams are turned under and there is interfacing for body- almost like a custom drape. The fabric is a nice weight and super soft to the touch. They definitely needed a good ironing ( through a cover cloth) out of the box. I’m glad I got a heavier duty rod, cause these are a smidge on the heavy side- but nothing too crazy. I purchased the green velvet and the color is rich and deep. I prefer the unique look of using the hidden tabs to hang, but the pocket looks good too- probably a personal preference. The only thing I didn’t realize was that they are dry clean only. Let’s be real, I don’t wash my curtains as often as I should. But I don’t know that I’ve ever dry cleaned curtains. We’ll see. But I highly recommend these curtains if you want soft-to-the-touch curtains that make a stylish impact on a room.

5 Stars Even After Allergic Reaction

I looked at a lot of draperies at numerous price points before finally deciding on these. The color was a beautiful smoky taupe that worked perfect in my bedroom, and the quality was great. I measured all 4 panels upon taking them out of their packaging, and they were all exactly 84” in length. Color is consistent on all panels. The fabric is thick and plush, and looks like a set of $300 panels that I also considered. They have a white lining, which was also one of my non-negotiables, since I don’t have blinds or sheers and I didn’t want some weird color being seen when looking at the windows from outdoors. They darken the room to the point that I’m sometimes surprised to awaken and find that the sun has already come up! While I was (and still am) extremely pleased with the look and quality of these drapes, I did have an allergic reaction to them. After hanging and steaming them, I started having redness in my eyes. This continued to worsen and after going to my eye doctor, he told me there was nothing wrong with my eyes and that this was an allergic reaction. He gave me steroid drops and suggested I take the curtains down, since they were the newest addition to the house. I took the curtains to the dry cleaners, and, since having them cleaned, I’ve had no other problems (and they look fabulous after dry cleaning). Since I’m very sensitive to everything, I’m not holding this against the curtains. They still get 5 stars!
