Excellent Quality- Made in the USA

I bought 3 different sizes of this runner in early Spring 2012 and they are top notch runners.Cons: only one.-Because this is a very solid color, lint and debris show up more than a mottled color. Not a big deal. I got a carpet sweeper for quick clean up and these runners vacuum extremely well.Pros: several-The corners are rounded which is a very nice safety feature. No accidently kicking up the corner and tripping. Lays nice and flat on the floor.-They are low profile and the edges of the entire runner are beveled which is attractive and prevents accidently kicking up the carpet when walking. Safe!-The pile is very low and tight. I have a high suction upright vacuum cleaner and these runners STAY in place when I vacuum. They are a good weight.-The backing is good quality anti-skid rubber. You will not need to make extra purchases for anything to place under the runner to keep it in place.In my experience, no runner will stay perfectly in one place unless you glue it to the floor! I need to make small adjustments from time to time... reaching down to grab the edge and slide it back in the right spot. They get a lot of traffic in my house from people and dogs.-They feel good underfoot whether barefooted or with shoes.-My dogs' toenails don't snag in the low, tight pile-Width (and length) size choices are great! Most runners are really narrow. These are the only wide runners I know of. At least in my price range.I love these. I've just bought some various sized mats and another runner for the kitchen. They look and feel like they are still the same excellent quality 3+ years later. The ones I bought in 2012 still look great. Oh yes and they clean well! I had a semi-senile senior dog who forgot he was housetrained the last year of his life (RIP Max 1999-04/2014) and he put them (and me!) to the test. Yep. These are really good runners.I hope I've helped someone with this info. :)

Great Hall Runner

I moved into a new home with hardwood floors and wanted to buy a hall runner. My hallway needs a 12' hall runner and I wanted one that was 3' wide. I found this size extremely difficult to find in a reasonable price range. This runner fit the bill perfectly. It has many sizes to choose from including the 12' x 3' I was looking for, as well as others. It is a low pile rug, which I prefer for easy cleaning. It also has a rubber backing to keep it from slipping on the hardwood, which was another nice feature.This company also makes area rugs in the same styles and colors as their runners and I plan on purchasing some of the area rugs for my other rooms. I have also noticed that nearly all of their color options seem to be ideal carpet colors that are somewhat muted and neutral, and will hold up to dirt and abuse.Update: As of 2020 my eight year old hall runner is ready to be replaced. The top fabric is still in pretty good shape, but the rubber backing is starting to degrade at this point. It has had very heavy use during the eight years as I have 5 kids and the runner is in a hall connecting the kitchen and living room. I have been pleased with how easy it is to clean and am planning on replacing it with the identical rug.

Glad I reordered...

Packaged well and arrived early. Product binding not a great match for color of carpet. One end of rug appears to not be cut exactly on the straight. Between the binding color and the slightly uneven cut, decided to return product. No problems at all with returning and have already been credited. I actually ordered two rugs at the same time, this one and a gray one. The gray one is perfect. In fact, so impressed with it that I decided the problem with the brown one must be a fluke. I reordered a replacement in another color (one with multiple shades so that the binding wouldn't even be an issue), have already received it and LOVE it.

Perfect runner for high traffic hallway

I can't say enough good things about this rug. I have this rug in a 12-foot hallway in the side entrance coming into the kitchen of our farmhouse. This is how we go in and out of the house all the time. I've wasted money on basic runners with some flimsy rubber padding on the bottom that just didn't work. They all bunched up and the cheap rubber would dry and crack from the traffic and getting wet. No more bunched up flimsy rug that doesn't protect the wood floor from mud, snow, salt, water, etc. from people and dog traffic. And it catches everything so that by the time we get to the kitchen, the amount of dirt and water that gets on the wood floors through the rest of the house is minimized. It stays in place like no-ones business. I haven't had to wash it yet, but it seems like it will be extremely easy to hose down and hang over the fence to dry. I loved how I could order the length and width that I needed. It's a perfect fit that stays in place (I can't over-emphasize how well it stays put.). I was a bit hesitant about spending the money up front, but it was well worth the investment (which I've probably spent several times over by replacing crap runners over the years).
