This carpet is very easy to clean. You cannot wash it, you must clean it like you would carpet but it’s black so no stains I let the mud dry on it and then vacuum it up. I loved this rug somuch at my garage door that I bought another for my back door! It has great grip and stands the test of three children under three and a very large dog.
It's a great area rug and does not slip and slide. Perfect for in front of my washing machine.
Came quickly -- sooner than expected! Love the rug, perfect size for our needs. Unfortunately, as others noted, it does pick up lint! Needs daily vacuuming, and fortunately, vacuums up easily/quickly/thoroughly and looks good.
I first bought this rug for a seldom used entryway. I loved the finished look and didn’t see a problem with it. So then I purchased 3 more for the kitchen and 2 french door entry’s that are used more frequently. After only a day, the rugs had done their job and attracted lint, hair, dust etc. and so I tried to shake them outside/beat them unsuccessfully. But I then had to bring out the vacuum and go over them several times. My suggestion is that unless you want daily maintenance, buy a light color. The black will be very hard to maintain if you like your rugs to look clean. I will probably be replacing these with a rug I can just shake out every other day or so.
I really like these mats and have a bunch of them in different sizes. The top side wears well and is great (though rough, not a soft surface). Fibers do catch in the surface easily so you need a revolving brush head on your vacuum to properly clean them. They were great for my dogs whose nails did no damage to the surface when playing hard. However over the years the rubber backing starts to disintegrate and powder off, both losing the traction the the floor below and leaving black rubber powder underneath. The two smaller ones I have that I tried washing in the washing machine lost their backing much quicker so I don't recommend that. The others I clean with a standard carpet shampooer and they lasted 3 years of a lot of wear before having this problem. The photographs are of the BACK of the mats. Gym mats are too expensive. Got this to sit under the treadmill for floor protection. Works perfectly, and does not move at all!
This rug never bunches or binds and lays flat after being rolled every nite and sits in an equipment truck rolled up till the weekend love it! Perfect drum kit rug
