Mine Are Lovely, Linen-Look, Ivory Curtains That Block the Light and Hang Nicely—

I’ve used white black-out curtains from various manufacturers for years and some have been much nicer and more effective than others have been. I learned to try just one panel or set to see how they looked and functioned in my house. These are my new favorites. I love the linen look and how they hang. Even though I choose white for all my curtains, I know they may not work as well as darker colors might to block light. I sometimes use multiple curtains in a window to compensate. I don’t think I need to keep the others up with these but since it’s winter, I’ll leave them up for extra layers against the cold. These aren’t wrinkled at all—which has almost never been the case with other brands I’ve purchased. I’ve had some from a different brand and store that felt plastic-like even though they didn’t look that way but these don’t. I saw a review just now that mentioned their curtains from this brand feeling like plastic. I went back to make sure the curtains I received are the ones I ordered and they are. I don’t know why curtains from the same source could be so different but my advice is to try one panel and see what it’s like when you get it. Curtains can be tricky in my experience! When they’re not what I thought they’d be, return them with details on why. I know it’s not ideal but I could never find such a variety where I live. I love the ones I received and wish everyone else the best of luck with their window coverings. :)

Amazing curtains and super long

I’ve had a set of curtains in our bedroom for a while but they were just too short for the window so I grabbed these. There are a few different ways to hang them. Since I love opening my curtains daily for sunshine, I use the curtain hooks so they will slide easily. They also have loops on them that you can slide the rod through. They are a great length and super heavy duty. They do a great job blocking out the light. The color is exactly what I wanted and the length is wonderful. I got the longest size because I hang my curtain rods close to the ceiling for a taller look. These have been perfect. You can see the light in these pictures because of the way I have them hung, however the room is still very dark.

Nice curtains, but not olive green

I like the curtains and would keep them but they are NOT olive green. I know you take a chance ordering online without being able to see in person and this time it didn’t work out. They are green, not olive green. If you look at the pics, I put a kitchen towel that has olive green in it next to the curtains so you can see the difference.

Thick, stylish curtains with excellent blackout

These HOMEIDEAS blackout linen curtains have been a great upgrade for our bedroom. The first thing I noticed was the thickness of the fabric — it feels substantial without being stiff or heavy in an awkward way. Mystery Material?

Weird, weird, weird. Don't know what they are making particular products of anymore but it doesn't remind me of anything I've felt or seen quite like this stuff. I use that word as it is the only one that fits easily. This is just an odd material that reminds me of what recycled plastic would look like done badly.It is thick and has a backing (I actually like better than the front). I ordered the white which is ugly in my opinion. It has a strange sheen, not a shiny look, more like a byproduct of what the curtain is constructed. It has the same type of feel of plastic as to match the appearance. I wonder if it wouldn't look better in a darker color because the weirdness of this shows up well on the white, actually brightening it to it's disservice. They're heavy in weight. So there's that. They're stiff. They have to keep out any light by the type of materials used, must be possible for it to do many things based on the mystery material.There is not much more I can think of to advise that I haven't already stated. I was really disappointed the moment I saw it through the plastic packaging, mailed as is so anyone with prying eyes & reason knows it's curtains.There have been other products similar I've reviewed where other reviewers have felt so differently about, it's made me rethink my own thoughts. Maybe it's alright with them? Maybe they've become accustomed to weird? Maybe they haven't really taken time to take them out and look and feel them? I am not sure other than different strokes for different folks. Oh, yeah, others might like for darkening because if they don't want to be able to see light, they're not bound to see these either so that could be they're justification. Best guess so far.
