This is the BEST non-skid rug pad I have ever purchased. I have tried to make it move and it won't budge! I will absolutely purchase more of these to replace the ones I currently have under multiple rugs in my home.You will NOT be sorry if you purchase this rug pad. I bought this for a 12' wool rug runner and it work amazing!
It is easy to trim to size. The directions recommend 2-4 inches less than the rug size. We will wait to see if the pad leaves a residue on our new light-colored wall-to-wall carpet. The cushioning is wonderful. We are using this pad to anchor a vintage Oriental rug, the rug wrinkles less with the pad and stays in place.
This works perfectly under a carpet runner on top of your carpet. Feels more cushioning too.

I bought this gripper pad to go under a rug that sits on carpet. Without the pad the rug kept buckling and shifting. I had tried using just the Rug Settlers rug pins. That fixed the shifting, but not the buckling. This gripper pad resolved the buckling issue and the rug doesn't shift because the stickiness is good. I am using the rug pins on the corners, just to ensure that the edges lay flat. The pad is not too thick, so the carpet lays flat. This pad is easy to use, just place the pad with the grey side up, against the rug, for carpets. In my opinion, this is a good buy.
We just moved into a new place, which has carpet pretty much everywhere (with the exception of the kitchen and bathrooms), and we have three beautiful Indian rugs that we wanted to safely lay out without damaging the carpet underneath or killing ourselves tripping over the edges. That ruled out our old methods (carpet tape and corner stickies). I did some research and found these amazing rug pads. I ordered three - two of this size for our larger rugs and one smaller one for the third rug. These pads are a miracle. They keep the rugs down perfectly, OVER carpet, without moving, and without damaging anything. The third rug we put into the kitchen (yes, we have an Indian rug in our kitchen), and all we had to do was put the opposite side of the pad down for it to stick on the tile (the instructions are clear about which side to use for hard floors or on carpet). The pad also provides extra cushion under the rug on the hard tile, which is awesome on the feet. No movement there, either. I am so impressed! I wish I'd known about these pads earlier. Well worth the investment!
I did a lot of research before I purchased this version of rug pad and it does not disappoint. I love the reversible flexibility of this pad depending on carpet or hard surface location. I have used this pad on both surfaces and it does not slip or let the rug move. There is no residue on any surface when moving pad to use in other locations. I highly recommend this product. What a great find!
