Well made, detail is very nice I ordered the Dark brown which is more life like to me, you can get it in a few different colors but this was superb,A little one the light side but stands very well on its own without wiggling on the tableA bit pricey for what size it is but is very beautiful so I was very happy with itYou can also bend the mane to look more flowingI give it a 4 I also purchased for a Christmas present so I know they will be in love with itWell worth the money especially for horse lovers

I'm not horsin' around when I say this is a pretty nice miniature metal horse bust!
I recently received this "Handmade Horse Statue - Unique Rustic Decor for Office & Home - Hand-Painted Metal Sculpture - Handmade Horses Figurines Gifts for Women/Men (Brown)" and it should come as no surprise (to me at least) that this equestrian bust is much smaller in person than expected. Fortunately, it seems well made, looks great, and will still make a great accent piece, so I'm not disappointed - or at least any disappointment I'm feeling isn't associated with the piece so much as my own inability to accurately envision the scale of an item ordered online, lol!This metal sculpture of a horse head is kind of a mix between "steampunk" and whatever they call "classic" sculptures in metalworking. When I saw it, I was immediately taken back to a memory of touring the HR Giger museum in Gruyeres, Switzerland, where numerous metal sculptures (all of which have a far creepier tone) are on display. I'm a fan of both styles, so when I saw this piece, I immediately submitted my order, and even though it's a bit smaller than I pictured, I really love how it looks - and I haven't had a single guest in my office (where I have it right now) who didn't comment on it.As I mentioned, the piece is smaller than I pictured it in my head, but that's a very, very common thing for me and is no fault of the seller. The figure, from top to bottom, stands right at 9" tall, but because almost a third of that height is the "base" and the support-pole onto which the bust is mounted, the "presence" of the sculpture is minimized somewhat. The piece is hollow, after all, and you can see the negative space between the halves easily, and the negative space kind of plays a trick on your brain, making the piece seem less substantial. Regardless, the figure is nicely made and looks great to me.The horse's face appears to be molded, but I'm unsure what the manufacturing process is for that. I'm guessing molten metal is poured into a mold and then the piece is shaped to the form of the horse's head, but I'm speculating at best. Either way, I love the look of it, though I would be more impressed with the craftsmanship if the face were "built" rather than molded. That being said, I don't KNOW that it was molded - that's just the impression it gives me when I'm looking over its details closely.The figure doesn't weigh too much, but the base has enough weight to it to keep it upright. The listing says the total piece weighs 1.3 lbs, but I would have guessed much less. If I'm ever experiencing some kind of weird in-office attack, I will not use this sculpture as a weapon to defend myself. I could probably poke someone with its ears, but it would be a terrible bludgeoning tool. XDThis miniature metal horse bust sculpture was priced at $49.99 when I placed my order, and I do like it a lot, but I'm not sure I would pay that price for it, honestly. It is a nice piece, but I'd probably be more inclined to make a recommendation if it were priced about 25% less. Value is in the eye of the beholder though, so discounting the pricing altogether, I think this beautiful (miniature) sculpture would make a wonderful gift for the horse-lover in your life.Happy to recommend!

I ordered this metal horse sculpture in the brown color and it looks very nice. The color has detail and is painted cleanly with color depth and variation so it's not just a monotone brown by any stretch. It is easy to assemble and will sit nicely on a desk, bookshelf, or other display location.Construction quality is good and the metal edges are all nicely finished and not sharp. It has a hollow design but it does not feel flimsy or cheap. It arrived smaller than I expected from the product photos but it does meet the measurements in the listing.
