Gorgeous rugs. Expect the colours to be more muted than the photos show.

I love these rugs. Having bought directly from other eBay sellers in India who also retail these rugs, I knew to expect the colours to be more muted than the photos. Buying rugs on the internet can be difficult. Sellers use optimal lighting, and photo enhancing techniques, and you almost never find the colours to be true to what you see in the photos. It's the same with these. The colours are STUNNING but they are quite a bit more muted than what you see in the photos, so just be aware of that when purchasing.I do have a "usual" seller in India that I buy rugs from, but I thought I'd give this Amazon seller a chance. They shipped it out super quickly and it was here within a week, where my other seller sometimes takes a week to even get it to the shipper. So they get an A+ for that from me!The rugs are nice and thick and they are well made. As is noted in the listing, this was a hair smaller than the 5' x 8' size that I purchased, but not enough to make any significant difference for my space. Wool rugs do shed for a while after you purchase them - all of them do no matter who you buy it from - so you should also expect that when purchasing, and not be surprised by it. It settles down after a while.We spent just over a year on a whole house remodel and believe me, the "rug struggle" is real. Finding that just right rug for your space that doesn't cost a bazillion dollars, can be tricky. These rugs are really nice quality for the price you are paying. They are well made and the colours are lovely. We like this one so much that we've purchased an 8' x 10' for our main living room to match this one as the rooms are adjacent. The other good thing about these is that they are so affordable, you could have multiples to change out your look every so often if you wanted to!Overall an excellent rug. If you're hesitating, or concerned that you won't get a quality product, rest assured, they are great quality for the money. If you're considering buying from Pottery Barn instead, I can pretty much bet that they're buying from the same sources and you'd just be paying twice the price for the same rug. Their popular "Kennedy" rug which we also have, can be had for half the price from amazing sellers like this if you give them a chance!

Lovely, well made, colours a bit muted

Arrived earlier than first estimated. Originated in India. Was packed extremely well for shipping. Has shed a bit of fuzz, but not much at all after the first few days. Seems very well made; dense, plush even. I do have a padding down under it, as recommended, but honestly would have been ok without. I chose 1/4" so the transition from hardwood floor to rug wouldn't be extreme.Important thing to note is colour. I hope my photos demonstrate that overall colours are muted compared to the images provided by seller. Others commented on this as well which is why I ordered it. I wanted muted and I'm very pleased with this rug, but if you want vibrant colours, this could disappoint.

Look out for shedding

This is a beautiful rug, and it is the same one sold by PB in the past for much more $. Colors are true. It is plush, soft, and thick, and extremely dense. No odor to it. It has very straight edges. It does continue to shed tiny little yarns tho, and has been up and in use for a couple of months. I really hope that stops. It seems like it should have by now and may be a function of some flaw in the looming process.

Very nice rug, Very good value. Colors a little more muted than pictured

Overall I'd say this is a very nice rug and I'm very happy with it. The pile is soft and dense and the rug looks like it will wear well. The colors appear somewhat more muted than the stock photos suggest -- particularly the main body of the rug, which looks very 'minty' on my monitor. It actually isn't minty in person at all - more of a tan/beige with a hint of sage. Very versatile colors that are 'cozy' and warm without being at all 'sweet'.I'm giving it four stars for now only because we haven't had it long (update: 2 weeks), so I can't actually tell how it will wear. I'll try to update in a few weeks/months. Hardly any shedding so far, which is very nice.Update: It's been 4 weeks now and the shedding is still pretty minimal -- much less than most other new wool rugs I've purchased.
