Nice Accent to Halloween

I got these, primarily, for Halloween decor. They are made of polystyrene (plastic) and the flame part is some kid of rubber or silicone. The body of the candle itself is black and the very top and melty wax drips are painted red. When powered off, the flame is white. They would be safe around pets and kids, indoors or outdoors, but they are not waterproof.Each candle requires 2 AA batteries, inserted through the bottom and held in by a screw-on cap. Once the batteries are installed, the candle is on. You can turn them off via the remote control or by turning that cap counter-clockwise about a 16th of a turn.There are 6 candles, 6 black rubberized stands to let you stand them straight up, if you don't have taper candle holders, 6 clear/white rubber or silicone sleeves to hold them securely in any candle holders you do have, and 7 white plastic clips with suction cups the attach them to a window. A remote control is also included. Is uses a button-type CR-2025 battery, which is included and replaceable.Once the batteries are installed, it is really all about the remote. So don't lose it. The remote controls off and on, as well as dim ( + and -). It also allows you to switch between light and candle modes, which is steady on and flickering, respectively. The candle mode adds some realism* The remote is also where you set the timer function. Two, four, six, and eight hours are your options there.The remote controls all 6 of the candles at one time. So if you press OFF, they all go off. Press ON, they all come on. Straight out of the box, they default to the "light" mode which is no flicker. Press "candle" and they all begin to flicker. In unison. That is why I put the little * up there. All of them flickering at exactly the same time is kind of eerie, but not super realistic. But, fear not. There is a solution. Put all 6 candles in candle mode while on. But turn them off not with the remote, but by twisting the cap at the bottom of each one. When you turn them back on, one at a time (by twisting the bottom back) they start flickering again, but not in sync with each other. It looks a lot better that way. I'll try to get a sort video to show this.The instruction sheet says that the remote range is 5m or about 16ft. It says that the LED life is 50,000 hours and glow time us from 400 to 600 hours, depending on your batteries.Overall, I'm pretty pleased with them.

Worth considering depending on your seasonal or party needs

They are a fun scary theme candle. They actually look better during the day because the black black candle with the red wax drips to give the blood effect you can see with lights on but at night in a dim room when the candle itself goes on, you don’t notice any of the black and red, it’s a shame because otherwise this would’ve been a perfect price point for once a year celebration type theme decoration. On the flipside, the window suctions and the base clips are totally working great for these to make them super easy to place wherever you want for that scary effect in the window or on the wall or the bathroom mirror…
