Love these drapes!

I love these drapes! These are very nice high quality drapes! They block out the light very well. I got the natural color which is very attractive. I have a street light outside my bedroom window and these drapes totally block out the light. My room is dark with no light. I had these drapes before but I ruined them by putting them in the dryer. It ruined the lining backing. They wash nice, though, in cold water but DO NOT put them in the dryer! Hang to dry. Also I heard others review about wrinkling. I did not really have that problem. They hung up nicely. A suggestion would be you could still use these as blackout drapes only use a double rod so you can hang other curtains over top of the blackout ones if the wrinkles do not come out. You could always use the tiebacks that come with this to tie back the curtain for when you want light in. At any rate it would help insulate your room from drafts in the winter and heat in the summer. Just a helpful suggestion. 😊

These lay beautifully.

This is the second time I have bought this brand. I washed them according to the instructions and they came out perfectly. I did hang them to dry and touched them up with a warm iron. I especially like that they are 52" wide; that seems to give them fullness and they lay better. The biggest selling point for me is that they have a white back. The color is as depicted, and I was fortunate it complemented the color of the room. They are considered blackout, although because of the curtain rod I used, light comes in around the perimeter. This is not an issue for me as I really didn't want blackout, I just liked these curtains.I had originally installed them on a 1.5" wooden curtain rod, but I thought it was too tight a fit. I then put them on a 1" metal rod and I am extremely pleased with the fit. I installed the rod about 6" away from either side of the window frame. I like to open the curtains during the day and I don't want them blocking any part of the glass. The window is small and this lets in the most light.I guess the only negative is that I wish they came in more colors.I would recommend.

Very Happy

I have a sunroom with 3 walls of windows, facing east, west, south. And they aren't even close to being quality insulated windows, so needless to say the gets a lot of beautiful sunshine, but a lot of heat and cold. I bought 2 pair to do the west wall because that's where the hottest temps come in from. I loved them and bought them for all 3 walls. They not only help with the temp, but they help with the glare from the sun when we are trying to watch TV during the day and give great privacy in the evening. Rod pockets are my preferred curtain type and they are hard to find. These curtains are attractive, cost effective, and well worth the price. Easy to use the tiebacks when we want to look out at the flowers and butterflies and birds, but close when we don't. I am going to make floral valances and cover the tie backs with the floral fabric to dress them up, but the white that I have looks very nice and they look & feel like very expensive draperies. My ONLY complaint is that the texture is almost like a brushed denim, which is fine, but I have 3 long haired cats who like to sit in my windows and the curtains are like a magnet to their hair. But I that is easy to fix with a lint brush or a piece of duct tape. I don't write reviews unless I am thrilled with a product, and I am very happy with this.

Blackout, temperature control Curtains

I bought these special curtains for the extras they offered- namely, blackout and temperature control. They deliver 100% in these ways.My reason for the 3 star rating has to do with the less than desirable aesthetic . They look like white tarp material instead of a lovely curtain textile. For this reason I am planning to remove them for different brand of curtain that offers the same features of blackout and temperature control, but is a lovely curtain material.

Nice color and texture!

I was looking to buy "off white - ivory" color blackout curtains. Since my headboard is linen texture natural (ivory) color, I did not want the curtain to be the same texture. I found many other blackout curtain has linen like texture but this one did't look like it so I gave it a shot. I was worried how the color look like in person. When I opened the box and saw the color, I was so happy! This doesn't look like grayish white or anything, this is I would say "off white" and the texture is silky side not the linen. The ability to block the sunlight was also very critical for us..after using this many days, I can say this curtain does its job and completely shut the light from outside. It also reduce the noise and cold air coming from outside.The product and the package looked new but I found a little hole on one of the two panels unfortunately. This tiny light won't affect our sleep so I'll just forget it.
