Doesn't have any scent to it like at all
Kind of disappointed in this candle. You only get 5oz of wax, which is about $3/ounce currently. The candle does not have much of a scent. You light it just to burn it, not to freshen up a room or smell nice smells. The label joke is a little excessive, which gives away that this is a mass-produced product from overseas, trying to market itself as an artisinal homemade craft item. To be fair, the candle has lasted quite a long time and the wick is holding up well. It is burning evenly. It just doesn't smell like anything so I'm not really sure what the point of burning it is. Maybe it is for people who just like to have unburnt candles sitting on their mantles as decorations? To just look at? If that's your thing, then all the power to you. If you enjoy candles for their scents, then this probably isn't for you. I'm deducting a star because there is just zero scent to this candle.

I think candles make great gifts. I don't think anyone just suddenly concludes they have too many candles. They always fit. They aren't gender specific. No one returns them to the store for being the wrong color. They provide a positive ambience. They convey a sense of safety and relaxation.Beeswax is what makes this extra special. Breathing in the beeswax is healthy whereas soy and petroleum candles actually create a toxic environment with some doctors suggesting that windows are open to allow for healthy air to circulate! No one is telling you to stop using them even though they are a conglomeration of chemicals to evoke a memory or create peace but no one knows if there are long-term consequences. I always avoided the heavily marketed candles because smelling them actually gave me a queasy feeling and stuffy nose. I have breathing problems so by the time I was a teenager, when all my friends lavished perfume on their skin and burning candles while hanging out with friends, I sat on the sidelines. So, years later when beeswax candles were on the shelves of my health food store, I was excited to try them.I live in Florida and our power is going out often. I have sat in a dark house for more than 3 weeks after a hurricane. Candles made a big difference while I sat in the dark.So, out of curiosity, I researched, if there had been lawsuits as a result of the petroleum and soy based candles and sure enough there have been. There have also been lawsuits as well as a result of the use of lead by some manufactures in candle wicks. As far as I'm concerned, I will only buy beeswax candles. They are quality products, burn clean (smelling a little like honey) and they have a comparable burn time.Likewise, I committed to only buy beeswax after a candle I bought in the 90's for a friend exploded because he continued to burned it hours after falling asleep nearby. He was unscathed. I think beeswax offers a lot of solid value especially since they are safe to breathe in the area, wherever they are placed.
