Beautiful! Please read this review if you are battery-confounded as I was!

This is absolutely beautiful! I had no idea that this was a thing, but it makes for a fantastic gift for pretty much any woman.I am amazed at how well these roses are preserved. In doing some comparison shopping, I did notice that other sellers for similar items guarantee a longer preservation span. This one only has a one year guarantee. Although I do wonder if they all last close to the same amount of time and that maybe one year is more accurate? It’s just a theory, but we shall see if it still looks fresh after a year and beyond.I noticed that many other sellers include batteries, but this one does not. It takes large button cell batteries. Luckily, I had a pack of what was needed already.Usually battery installation is quite intuitive, but not so much with this item. There were no instructions anywhere, not on the site listing and not in the box it was shipped in. It was pretty frustrating trying to figure out how many and it took, and how to orient them. After agonizing over it for a while, I finally got it to work after putting them in plus side up and underneath the metal “arm thingy” (I am very mechanically savvy and well-steeped in its terminology, as you have probably noticed). It did light up with just one battery, but it had room in the compartment to stack two together, and I noticed that the lights were brighter with two batteries.Other than the battery debacle, there is only one other minor thing that I think could make it better. The placement of the lights is all at the base of the angel, but I think the flowers would be much more beautifully illuminated if there were at least one light shining down from above the flower faces, perhaps within the waist of the angel. I noticed that all variations of this item from other sellers across-the-board have the lights placed in the same way, so I wonder if it has to do with keeping any heat sources away from the roses to maximize preservation.Overall, I think this is a great concept, and I intend to probably order more in the future as gifts. Would I order from the same seller? Perhaps, but I’d want to make sure that it’s the best of its kind with the best feature. There’s a better chance if it were to come with a battery already in it so my mechanical know-how wouldn’t have to be challenged.
