“Exquisite” is almost an understatement! Worth every penny!

This is one of the most beautiful, elegant objects I have ever purchased on Amazon.The quality exceeds all my expectations, in every way, including the box!The box itself is sturdy and solid, with a black cloth exterior, and a gold-edged, black satin ribbon that extends from the nested lower edge, up over the top of the box, where it is tied in a perfect bow, with a blank “Best Wishes” gift card tucked under the bow. To protect the fabric during shipment, the outer box has a cellophane wrap, so that the box will be in pristine condition when your recipient receives it.It looked like the ribbon was purely embellishment, so I tried to lift the upper part of the box without untying, but it turns out that the ribbon is actually attached to the bottom piece of the box, and the tied bow keeps the lid securely fastened to the bottom of the box.The lid and base of the box are quite snugly fitted to each other, so it does not unintentionally fall open when untied. I needed to work the lid loose gradually. I recommend that you open it on a table, so it cannot tip or fall when you get the lid off.Once lifted away, the complete glass dome is revealed, and only the wooden base is nestled in its perfectly-sized circle in the box-bottom. The open lid reveals the precisely-fitted, black-foam-cushioned dome compartment. When packed, this box prevents nearly 100% of movement, jostling, friction, and impact from injuring the artwork.The dome’s base is a beautiful, smooth, natural wood with elegant striations. The dome is crystal-clear glass. To protect it during shipment, the glass is gently wrapped in clear-plastic cling wrap.The roses are incredibly exquisite perfection, not a petal out of place, as if they were freshly cut and just this moment placed in this display. The composition of the diorama scene beautifully enhances the roses and the angel, and all the other individual plants are securely attached, and do not fall from their places, even when turned upside down.Once batteries are installed, the lights warmly illuminate the scattered flower petals aroynd the edges, which look as if they have simply fallen gently, naturally, to the ground, yet are somehow absolutely anchored, just like all the other little items inside the dome.The description and instructions indicate that the preserved roses will last a few years if protected from moisture, sunlight, and heat. I really hope they last longer than that.This beautiful gift is worth every penny of its list price. Your recipient will be amazed and overjoyed to receive it.I wish I could give it 10 stars. There is truly nothing that compares to the quality and attention to detail of this treasure.
