Very nice quality but not wild about the rolled up scrolls
This is a nice quality Bible verse jar, and would make a fantastic Mother's Day gift. But, not if your Mom is elderly!!!! The tiny little verse scrolls do require some manual dexterity. My Mom is in her 90s, so this is definitely a no-go for her. The scrolls are actually very nice size with large font verses once they are unrolled. It is just going to be difficult for someone with dexterity limitations to unroll them. The other downside of the scroll is you really cannot roll it back up and put it back in the jar. The scrolls are very tiny. Once it's unrolled, you'll never get it back into the band. My cousin has a similar jar and likes to re-use the verses after finishing that color. That isn't going to be an option with this design.While I'm not really thrilled about the design now that I've had a chance to use it, I will say this is a nice quality jar. The box is suitable for a gift box. And it comes with a little card. The little scrolls do look really cute and it makes for a lovely presentation. It just isn't going to work well for an elderly Mom or for someone who wants to re-use the verses.
