Looks nice from a distance but petals show wear quickly

I bought these artificial flowers about five weeks ago to use as decoration for my daughters outdoor wedding reception. The package arrived in a large flat box and assembly was needed but pretty straightforward - you attach the stems to the base and bend them into position. The stems are made of some kind of bendable metal wire wrapped in plastic coating so you can adjust the angle and height of each flower head which is handy for arranging them how you want. The base is heavy iron with fake grass covering it which does keep it stable and prevents tipping, we had them outside on a deck and they didnt blow over even with some wind. The flowers themselves are big, the largest one is over 5 feet tall which makes them pretty eye catching. The petals are made of a fabric material thats supposed to be waterproof and they do seem to repel water when it rains, though they take a while to fully dry out. From a distance of like 10-15 feet away they look fairly realistic and added a nice decorative touch to the venue. Up close though you can tell theyre fake - the petal texture is obviously synthetic and the colors are a bit too uniform and bright compared to real flowers. The stamen details in the center are okay but kind of simplified compared to actual flowers. After the wedding we kept them up for another week and started noticing some issues. The edges of the petals are fraying slightly where they fold, and one of the flower heads has a small tear in a petal from brushing against a table when we moved it. The bendable stems are useful but they dont always stay in the exact position you put them, they slowly drift back toward their original shape over time so you have to readjust them every few days. The fake grass on the base started peeling up at one corner after being outside in the sun and rain. We brought them inside after that and theyre now in our entryway where they still look decent as indoor decor. The assembly and disassembly is easy which is good for storage, they break down into a few pieces that fit in a closet. The waterproof claim seems mostly accurate though I wouldnt leave them out in heavy rain for extended periods. The colors have faded just slightly after being in direct sunlight for a couple weeks. For the price theyre okay as temporary event decorations or indoor accent pieces, but I dont think theyd hold up for months of outdoor use. The size is impressive and they photograph well which was important for the wedding. Just dont expect them to look or hold up like real flowers or high end silk arrangements. If your using them for a one time event or short term display theyll probably work fine, but for permanent outdoor decor you might want something more durable.

This seemingly little aspect brought me a sense of calm, particularly on an unpredictably spring afternoon when a light rain began to fall in the middle of the event. They served as an immediate visual hook for people walking by if they were displayed in the store window. At first glance, the eye was quickly drawn to the exaggerated size and realistic form. The business was even visited by a number of customers who inquired about the authenticity of the flowers and inquired about the whereabouts of other flowers that were comparable.

Strong base

When this first came in, the first thing I noticed was how stable this base was. It not only kept the flower standing with a party full of kids running around but even when they would run by, the wind blew and kids taking pictures with it, the base made sure this never once fell over. The flower itself looks so pretty and was the perfect size for an Alice in Wonderland theme party. The flowers were easy to setup and move around and once I had them into position, they did not move at all. Stayed standing that whole time. Even now that this is in my daughter's bedroom, we were able to hang some fairy lights on this. Super easy to dust clean too!

Beautiful is so many ways

This thing is gorgeous! I'm going to put it on my enclosed porch. It has a stately but soft and inviting presence. At my age I am all about this style of decor as I'm firmly embracing my Golden Girls era. But I feel it would find a home in most places indoor or out!Easy to assemble and and the way it's designed (bendable) you can arrange it in a variety of ways to suit the room or your needs.
