Fast fashion for your floor

Modern online rugs are very different from the high pile woven rugs in home stores. The trade off is that these rugs are vibrant and come in an almost endless variety of patterns and sizes.This rug is a thin, fleecey material that has its pattern printed onto the surface. It has a thin, rubber like gripping material on the back to give it what little weight it has and provide a bit of anti slip protection. Despite this backing, it does not stay in place on my hardwood floors, even though it’s a 5x7 rug. I find myself putting it back into place at the end of every day, and sometimes several times a day if the room’s had a lot of traffic. This probably wouldn’t be an issue if it had something on top of it rather than being in the center of open floor. Even if it had something on top of it, the corners would still kick up easily. I have two rambunctious dogs so this happens a lot.You can’t easily vacuum this rug with a regular strength vacuum. It’s too light and just gets sucked into the machine. I’ve tried having someone stand on it but the rug still pulls off the floor and clogs the vacuum. I use one of those Dustbuster-on-a-stick type cleaners instead. Although it’s machine washable it’s too big to realistically fit in my machine even though it’s a maximum capacity machine. I’ve also swept it with a regular broom in a pinch.I have similar rugs around my house so I was aware of these issues, but they weren’t enough to put me off this rug. Why? Because it’s gorgeous and feels like velvet on bare feet. It’s actually foldable so if I want to change the mood of the room, I can fold the rug up and put it away and change it out for a while. I can sit on this rug for yoga or stretching exercises.I know this isn’t going to be an heirloom, but it’s a beautiful, cheerful piece of printed artwork for my floor. This one is a true, rich green that fits perfectly with my decor. It gets rave compliments and makes me happy every time I come into the room.The missing star is for how really thin it is. I know this isn’t how it can claim to be machine washable, but I would have traded vacuuming every day for a large rug that was heavy enough to stay in place.

A Solid Rug That Actually Holds Up To The Family

I recently picked up this 5x7 green GarveeHome rug for the main living area where my daughters, who are 11 and 13, usually hang out. I’m giving it a five-star rating because it manages to look decent while handling the daily chaos of a house with two active girls and our Maltipoo, Joy. Finding something that looks like a traditional vintage rug but can actually be tossed in a washing machine is a big win in my book.What I like most about this rug is the practical design. The non-slip backing is excellent. I’ve dealt with rugs before that slide all over the hardwood floors like a sled, but this one stays put right where I laid it down. It’s a low pile, which I prefer because it doesn’t trap every bit of dirt and dog hair that Joy brings in from the yard. The green color is subtle and doesn't look cheap or overly bright. You get a rug that looks much more expensive than it actually is, and the fact that I don't have to hire a professional cleaner if Joy has an accident or one of the girls spills a drink makes it worth every penny. Soft and Richly Colored

This rug is so richly colored that I chose to use it as a tapestry. It is quite thick and woven extremely well. The fabric is soft enough for a baby to play on and it is kind to your bare feet. The backing is rugged and non-slip as I did test it on a hard floor before hanging it. The multi colored flowers and butterflies pop on the dark green background. It is machine washable and that's amazing as most rugs of this quality aren't. I opened it and folded it until I had help to hang it. After a significant amount of time it remained wrinkle free. It is a relatively large rug and the pricing is excellent.

Absolutely beautiful addition to my makeup room

There’s not enough good that I can say about this rug. The colors and pattern are bright and cheerful. It laid well on the floor right out of the box. The stitching on the edges is of great quality. Doesn’t curl up, and stays in place without anything under it. The price is more affordable than if I were to purchase at a store. It’s also machine washable, so you don’t have to go to the laundry mat when washing. I also noticed that when I spilled a drink on it, it I was able to blot it right up easily.
