TOTALLY UNIMPRESSED...

I am returning this rug, along with the smaller door mat I purchased for our kitchen. The colors are not true to those shown in the picture, which to me, is baffling. White is white and black is black. Right? Not in this rug. The white is more of a dark tan and the black is just a weird color of 'dark'. We were able to see a hint of dark green/navy in the fibers. I didn't even unfold the rug...back to Amazon it goes!

Nice low profile, neutral and natural rug with a nonslip back.

I've had several jute rugs in my living room over the years, so I decided to give this one a try.Style wise, I was impressed. I was surprised at how nice it looked and that it still has the jute, natural look, but is very low profile. The colors are soft and neutral. The design is nice, but not overwhelming.It has a nice rubber non-slip backing that's not common on most jute rugs. This was a plus for me as I have to use carpet tape to keep my rugs in place on the floor because I have a big dog who likes to zoom through the house at high speeds and knock rugs, furniture, and people around. The backing not only provides a better surface for the rug tape to stick to, but also helps it grip everywhere the tape is not, so it should stay in place well.It vacuums very easy. It has taken about 3 days of being down for the creases where it was shipped folded to fall out some, but they're not completely gone yet. This is a rug that would be served better if it were shipped rolled.The main problem with this rug is that I noticed a couple small snags in it the second day of use. I'm sure this is due to my wild dog, but I would have likely returned it if it hadn't been a Vine item. It's probably fine and a safe bet though - for someone without pets or at least with a dog that doesn't bounce around like a Brahma bull.
