    This little crocheted wine bottle is pretty cute. It’s very well made, with nice, even stitching and no loose ends. The colors are pleasing, and it’s firmly stuffed. The small hard plastic eyes are glued on securely, and it has a cute little smile.The sign is securely attached, and the printing is even and easy to read. My only drawback is that the bottom is quite rounded. I had to press on it fairly hard to get it flat enough to stand up for a picture. It would be much easier to display if there were a flat insert inside the base to help it stand on its own.

    I got this item thinking it would be a cute add-in for a wine-themed gift basket I'm putting together. I was right--it's a perfect novelty item to add to wine bottles, glasses, an opener, a recipe book, and related things.Since the prep of this basket was going on during the Christmas season, a good place to stage this little guy to keep it from getting lost was the Christmas tree--so I rested it on the branches. It received lots of favorable comments as an ornament.The funniest use, though, was engineered by our cat, who found the item while searching the tree for new playthings. She took down the wine bottle and chased it all over the house before we could reclaim it!Obviously, this little crocheted gadget is quite versatile. But I think the wine basket is the perfect application!
