Nice, heavy shelves and brackets, look nice in a casual decor

Hung two 48" shelves in my kitchen to hold my cookie jar collection. The shelves are white, my kitchen walls are white, and the black brackets are a nice accent. It took my son and grandson quite awhile to get them up and level, so it's not a one-person job if you're hanging them high up, which mine are in order to stay out of head-hitting height, and being perfectly level is a real big deal to me. For what I needed them, they were the easiest choice and the price is reasonable considering you get 3 brackets with each shelf. Brackets alone are very expensive if purchased separately! The shelves are a nice bright white, heavy-duty and sturdy, and are finished on all sides.

Stylish Storage Solution

TL;DR - Good-looking, sturdy, support spacing incompatible with studsBackground:As I sought to improve the neatness and orderliness of my bedroom, I decided that some shelving would go a long way toward that effort. Enter: these floating shelves. Would they hold up to scrutiny, or would they collapse under the weight of failed expectations? Read on, dear readers...The Good:I went with the rustic brown color, as it was the best fit for the color of the other wooden furniture in the room. I was immediately blown away by the gorgeous color of the shelves. Their thickness implies a level of durability, and over time, I've had no reason to doubt such. I have a number of thick, heavy towels on one, and there are no signs that the shelf isn't up to the task. Assembly was simple, quick, and painless as well.The Bad:The biggest issue that I have with these shelves is that the pre-drilled guide holes for the triangular metal supports are spaced in such a way that you can't get more than one of the three supports into a wall stud at a time (i.e. the spacing does not follow the [U.S.] standard 16-inch offset). Obviously, to ensure that you can safely reach the maximum load-bearing capability of these shelves, you'd want to have *at least* two attachment points of the three into studs. Had I to do it over again, I would have drilled two boards into the wall studs, then mounted the shelf supports to those boards. You live, you learn. Other than that, the shelf supports are a bit on the thin and flimsy side, but there are three of them per shelf, and the welds don't look horrible (not that I'm an expert on welds or anything).Conclusion:If you're looking for a simple, yet elegant floating shelf that support both your stuff and your space's aesthetic, then look no further. However, be advised that you want to consider adding some additional boards to ensure secure attachment to wall studs, particularly if you intend to put a lot of weight on these shelves.

Find your own screws...these are terrible. Sturdy and beautiful shelves though.

The shelves and brackets are good quality in appearance and sturdiness. The screws are terrible - they strip way to easily - highly recommend using different screws. After 2 of them stripping before I got them all the way in, I found some of my own screws. It's easy to assemble if you have good screws...it took me longer to get the 2 screws that came with it in than all the others combined.
