There were fragments making up 2.5 pebbles, and another 4 pebbles that were cracked, but the amount over 2 lbs makes up for it.My hands did feel dirty after sorting through them; if they were to go into an aquarium, they should be washed first.Color was pretty close to the photo, a greyish purple that is light when backlit or dark when against an opaque surface.

Perfect for indoor bulbs

I've always used marble chips as a medium for growing Paperwhite narcissus indoors but decided this year to try these sea glass pebbles. They turned out to be even more beautiful than they look in the product listing--lovely, soft shades of blues and greens. I used two bags for seven bulbs, and they're growing well. When the Paperwhites have finished blooming, I'll wash the pebbles and put them away for next year.
