Striped Outdoor Runner

This porch runner screams summer time sitting on the porch with friends.I love my front porch.I have a ton of seating options for anyone who comes over.We sit on the porch, listen to the wind chimes and talk and hang out.I had a large rug under my glider.It went all the way up under the glider across to 2 chairs.For me, that was too big.I needed something that was just to put your feet on if you wanted to kick off your shoes.This rug is perfect.It’s such a beautiful rug to begin with.The stripes give it a very beach/Summer vibe.It’s clean and crisp with the light blue and white.It adds a little something extra to the porch.It dresses it up a bit.The rug itself is very well made.It’s not overly heavy, but it’s a sturdy rug.I believe I could wash it if need be, but I would probably take it to a laundry mat where there’s an industrial washer.There are no rouge strings.That’s a pet peeve of mine in general.I look for rogue strings.Thankfully, this rug had none!It doesn’t have a backing on it.I’m not sure if I do or don’t like that, yet.I’m clumsy, so I skip and slide and if the rug goes with me, great!I have found that rugs with backing do not move.So if it doesn’t move, I hit the floor.I just wanted to mention that.This rug could be inside or outside.If my kitchen were these colors, I’d use it in there.It’s versatile.Such a perfect little runner.

Really pretty and soft, so decided to bring it inside

This is called a front door mat, but to me it feels and looks a bit more like a rug than a welcome mat for example. The material is more soft and wouldn't be as good with getting dirt off of shoes, and seems way too comfortable to waste outside. So personally, I will be using it inside in my kitchen.And for that I think this works perfectly. It's comfortable to walk on bare feet. It doesn't slide around at all. It's a good size to align perfectly with my kitchen island. All the sides are well woven. And I like the tan and black stripe because it matches with so many different aspects of my decor throughout my home and ties the look together nicely.If someone did want to use this outside, I would recommend using it up close to the door and having a second type of rug further out like if you have steps, one of the types that have the bristles that do a better job of keeping your shoes clean. Because I think with the color of this and the type of weaving that it is, it will get dirty looking pretty quickly and be more time consuming to shake out.It's also now my cat's favorite rug in the house. So he has claimed as his own. If I had an enclosed sunroom or something, I would definitely get more of them because I think it looks so nice and is very well made

Perfect cotton rug to use anywhere in the house

When it's pool season, I like to use cotton mats by the patio doors to catch any drips and prevent slipping on the tile floor. Since it's still snowy here, I'm using this rug in front of the kitchen sink. The size and colors are a perfect fit, and it's really comfortable to stand on. I have other cotton rugs similar to this, and machine washing them in cold and then hanging them to dry has always worked nicely to avoid shrinkage. This rug is double sided, which extends its use before needing to be washed. The cotton is a sturdy weight, and feels like it should hold up over time. I will be adding an antislip rug pad when I remember to buy it. lol Even without it, there's been very little slipping on the tile floor. The colors are crips, and the white isn't a "stark" white, but has a more natural feel. I like it a lot and could use a few more of them to scatter about the house. Two thumbs up!

Cute and trendy, but better for indoor use

I ordered the black and beige striped rug to layer under my welcome mat at our front doors. We have French front doors, so I needed something wide enough to cover both doors. The width works well, but the depth isn’t quite enough for my entry — my welcome mat hangs off the top and bottom.The material itself is nice and feels well made, but it’s not thick or heavy enough for true outdoor use. It’s lightweight and would easily blow away with one strong gust of wind. I also don’t see it holding up long term to heat, rain, wind, and pollen. While the cotton is good quality, it doesn’t feel durable enough for full outdoor exposure.I ended up trying it indoors instead. It’s a great size in front of my kitchen sink, but it doesn’t have a grippy backing and slides around on our wood floors — especially with dogs running through. After constantly adjusting it, I moved it to the bathroom, where it works much better.The color and striped design are very on-trend and versatile. It can work with a lot of different aesthetics, and there are several color options available.If the material quality weren’t as nice as it is, I would give it 3 stars since it doesn’t perform well as an outdoor rug. As long as you plan to use it indoors and add a non-slip rug pad underneath, it’s a cute and stylish option.
