Nice gift!
I ordered this to send to my friend that lives a couple of states away. It is pretty and works as expected. It isn't the highest quality, but for the price it is right about where it should be. Size is as expected and the light are pretty. The major downsides are the fact that there is no timer which is a pain. I also don't love that it is battery powered, I wish it was rechargeable or able to leave a charging cord plugged in to keep it going. Overall it is nice and will be a nice gift for my friend, but it could be better.

Ordered this in include in a gift bag for a friend of ours that has moved out of state. It's a really nice sentiment printed on the jar that's perfect for this type of situation.The message is actually on the jar itself, which is really nice. I'd originally thought it was just going to be printed messaging on the paper inside, but it's not. Instead, the jar itself is colorful, and it gives it a really classy look.The paper inside the jar is just so you don't see the lights directly. Gives it a diffuse look when lit up that gives it a cute fairy look. It's easy to turn on and off with the switch under the lid. It takes two AAA batteries, not included, to power the lights.The only very minor criticism is that the paper is just rolled up and put inside, so the back of the jar looks a little janky where it doesn't meet perfectly. Not a problem at all as long as you're going to display it somewhere where the back isn't going to be visible. But keep it in mind if you were planning to put it on a table or somewhere where the back will be just as visible as the front.At $16 at the time I ordered it, it's a reasonable price for a nice, quality gift.

Cute sentiments and novel in a mason jar but a night light? Not so sure
This mason jar night light with 20 LED fairy lights is a clever and novel idea with a cute sentiment but I'm not so sure I would consider it a night light.It runs on one AAA battery in a round compartment right below the screw on lid and it is turned on and off with a small switch. It has about 20 small LEDs on thin wires that run through the jar. What gives it a unique Starfire glow is a semi-translucent sleeve that slips inside the jar and casts a certain star reflection around each light so it has a very unique look from that perspective.However I really would not consider this a night light as it is made to sit up on a table and I believe it would be a bit too bright as there is no way to dim it unless you kind of hit it in the corner of a room somewhere where it might be hard to read the printing on it. So although I think is a cute and novel gift, I'm not so sure it's the best night light option you would find out there.
