Absolutely perfect for what I'm using them for. Very well crafted. The magnetic lid closure is a perfect touch that I didn't foresee but definitely a beautiful and elegant touch. The packaging was perfect and arrived on time. I will definitely be buying more !
This is a beautiful made shadow box. Looks to be real wood (which I love ) Will later varnish it as is. Cause I was always taught never paint real wood it is not only ugly to do so but it is graceful not only to the woodcrafter's hard work but to the wood itself and the trees that supplied it. Only stain and varnish to bring out the wood grain or varnish the natural wood. This is such nice shadow box, I am very happy with this. I thought I bought the bigger 8X11 but I guess when I clicked the button it didn't switch them. But I was still happy to receive this beautiful Shadow box frame. I had bought it for a picture or more and items of my beloved 17 year of orange tabby that had passed away in May. I am ordering the larger box so there is room to place his stuff kitten he use to carry around and bring to me when he was but a kitten himself. I would recommend this for people who have special items or pictures that they would like to keep in one place as a memento. An in my case it is for someone special who is no longer with us. This one that I receive is a 8X8. with a front glass frame door that open from the right toward the hinges on the left. It is held shut by a magnet. It has hangers on the back and comes with wall mounting hardware inside and a beautiful "Thanks" card from the seller. You can either mount it on the wall or just sat it on a table or wide shelf. There is what I a think is a slight cedar like smell when you open the box. Just a hint not over powering. But I don't think the wood is cedar wood, but I could be wrong, and it just maybe the oil used to preserve the wood. Beautiful wood grain pattern. I would recommend this beautifully made Shadow Box picture frame. As I said before I will be buy a larger one soon. So in a way I am buying this again. Just a larger one. I am happy to display this in my home and happy that for now it and later the larger one will hold memory of someone that was so dear to me. Thank You.
This shadow box is beautiful and is perfect for a flower arrangement. Very sturdy, light weight and definitely worth the cost. I used my to display the very first flowers my boyfriend got me. It is a stunning piece to my decor.
This purchase turned out great exactly what I wanted. Perfect size shape quality was nice and it looks sharp.
I was very pleasantly surprised with this frame. $16 for a 8x8 is an excellent price. It was least expensive I could find so I had concerns but it is nice for the price. The glass was scratch free and the wood is in good condition. The color is neither light nor dark I honestly don’t know how to describe it. It opens and shuts fine. The depth of this is just what I needed and so many I looked at where too thin so this is a FIND! The wood feels a tiny bit rough but it’s fine. I wouldn’t say it’s totally rustic or farmhouse looking but it could fit that decor. It also fits with my eclectic mix of traditional, boho collected vibe so unless you’re trying for formal this would work. One thing I would change is the linen background. It’s fine as nobody will go up close and inspect it but it was slightly discolored and not very fine linen looking. It will work though. Is it fine woodworking? No. But for me it’s perfect and worth the money.Note: I did not open the pins or hardware so I can’t comment on it.
This is a beautiful shadow box. Nice and deep. I plan on using this to put items about my late dog, Meadow. The vet made us an imprint of her paw and I have some of her hair in a bottle. I will print out a picture and place that in there too alone with her collar. It's been 2 months but still seems like yesterday that we lost her.
This exceeded my expectations. The quality of it is impressive. The color of the wood, the hinges, the magnetic "locking" system, and quality is just great!
